Remembrance Day also known as Veteran's Day in the USA, Armistice Day in the UK & Canada, Anza Day in Australia & New Zealand is celebrated by the allied forces of WWI. It marks the end of WWI in 1918 after 4 years of warfare and was on the 11th day of the 11th month at the 11th hour.

VE Day or Victory in Europe Day marked the end of WWII on May 7th & 8th in 1945 and Victory over Nazi Germany via unconditional surrender. In East Germany it was known as Tag der Befreiung (Day of liberation)

After the Liberation of Freedom for the good of mankind with the creation of peace on earth goodwill to men after world war two.
It was observe with Poppy's day.
That is our creator's universal gifts of life.
Part of the "Spoils of the war" that must be observe in time.
Somehow with blunders and slip-ups with human errors.
Living human kind took for granted in kicking the butts of God without being aware of the mess of their own creation in own backyards.

I believe it's only the countries who contributed in both WW 1 & 2 who mark the 11/11 at 11 am. Where I live, we certainly don't.

good question but i don't know the answer for sure i know that australia, new zealand and england and commonwealth countries commemorate the 11th hour of the 11th day , of the 11th month. my family lost 14 family members during those two wars. i also stand for the minute of silence out of respect for all who died fighting for our freedom.

Which is russia germany becuse my grandpa was in the us army at the time he drove a duck named alice the alice is named after my grandmam so he is my hero

I believe only the western alies in WWI celebrate it In the US it is veterns day.
in Russia they celebrate VE day.
