From what I've read the atmosphere and waters would become so radio active that life could no longer exist as it is today. In other words are world becomes much closer to doomsday as more countries acquire nuclear weapons.

I am very strongly considering entering the Navy. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, and would like to be a CTI, or maybe a CR. I earned a 97 on the ASVAB, and took an online CTI Linguistics practice test and scored a perfect 10/10. All that being said, I am a vegetarian. I am sure I can handle all the physical and mental stresses the Navy gives me, but will absolutely not eat meat. So my question is this: will I have a balanced, nutritious diet during basic training, considering that I will not eat meat under any circumstances?

This is my first time posting topic
I was not the ideal child for any parent to have,I had 3 felonies by the time I was 13 and I messed up a few more times after nothing even in the same ball park ,but I still was unable to make a complete brake from my old way of living .The one thing that keep me going was the hope that when I was older my record would get expunged and I would be able to start a normal productive life .All I wanted to do was try and bring back get back my family's good name .I wanted to join the military to my father proud to have me as his son again, but now I find out even if it was a juvenile record I can't get into the military . Well I just have to say everyone gets mad at the reconvicted offenders but if they don't even get a chance at doing it right ,what else can be expected ?Why even try to do right if in the end it is all for not ?No matter how rare it happens plp do change ,and now I find out I don't even get a chance to prove it ,then why change at all.

Greenhouse emissions are not improving. Hypothetically, if the western powers cut down their emissions to the level they needed to reduce them to for a sustainable future, but then another major culprit like China refused to, do you think there could be a possibility of military conflict over the emissions?

Everyone wants freedom but only a few want to fight for it. The only ones fighting for our freedom are the poor and the proud to be americans. Where is everyone else? After 9/11 recuitment was outstanding, even a millionaire football star joined. Enough so that recruiting stations had to shut down. However, once people started dieing no one wanted to join to protect their country and freedom. Recruitment fell at an astronomical rate. You want your freedom and liberties, fight for it. DON'T make the disadvantaged to it for you! Yes, we are free to choose but that comes at a price.

One of my best friends in the army is getting ready for a more than a year long deployment. I was wondering, will he be allowed to communicate with loved ones and friends either by telephone or computer? Is there a possibility that the trip can be cut shorter than year due to certain circumstances? I'm not sure where he is going but i know he is not going to iraq.

QUOTE " The Union Jack should be combined with the Welsh flag, according to an MP who wants the change to be made to reflect Wales's status within the UK...."Changing an iconic image such as the Union Flag may appear to be more difficult to achieve than 200 years ago, but nonetheless I believe the change is right," he said.

"Let the debate begin, let the rest of the world know that the iconic symbol of the United Kingdom may change and that the reason that it will change is that we have a new constitutional settlement that affords Wales its true place in the Union."
UNQUOTE

Not before time too. !! Think back to how many WELSH troops went to the Falklands on behalf of the UNITED Kingdom? How many are serving in AFGHANISTAN and Iraq today?

What say you?

I am really pissed cuz I could've made E-3 for helping my recruiter recruit some guys I knew but they backed down at the last minute. So now I will go as an E-1. Will make E-2 if I pass the test in boot camp. What I want to know is what other rewards can you expect by knowing the eleven general orders, the creed, and the Navy History by heart? I know you can graduate boot camp with honors? What will that do for you? Is there anyway I can become an E-3?
