I am very strongly considering entering the Navy. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, and would like to be a CTI, or maybe a CR. I earned a 97 on the ASVAB, and took an online CTI Linguistics practice test and scored a perfect 10/10. All that being said, I am a vegetarian. I am sure I can handle all the physical and mental stresses the Navy gives me, but will absolutely not eat meat. So my question is this: will I have a balanced, nutritious diet during basic training, considering that I will not eat meat under any circumstances?

Of all the things, you are thinking about a vegetarian diet? Well, I think you would have to eat what they give you. It's the military, not a catering service.

From the Navy chow halls I have eaten at, I saw quite a nice variety of foods. However, in boot camp, unless things have changed, they usually only have time to slap stuff on a tray and give you a few minutes to eat it.
But then that was years ago. I say talk to recruiter or contact a naval training facility and find out how they serve meals in boot camp.
Remember though, most of the food is seasoned with some form of broth usually made from meat, or they will add bits of meat to flavor the meal.

Judging from our teeth struture, we were meant to be vegetarian rather than ominvorous. But we Human defy everything!!
As you are so confident that you have the will to survive thru the course, than YOU WILL. Stop questioning and doubthing yourself!! Navy are one of the toughest army unit!! But present army do accept every different ppl from different backgrounds and need, not least vegetarain. So IF YOU THINK YOU CAN, YOU WILL!! Don't give up.

Well to begin with you will have great well balanced meals while in boot camp. There are choices for you to choose from at every meal. It is also very easy to eat well and not choose meat during these meals and still eat well.

Meat eaters are not very healthy. You should be Ok as long as you get the food you want.

it is possible during Boot camp. HOWEVER. there is absolutely ZERO guarantee whatsoever that at some point during your military career that you will have only one choice..to scarf down some chicken or dead cow, or starve,

there WILL be times when you have no other options.

Great to be a vegetarian.
Great to make an intelligent choice on food.
Now make an intelligent career choice :
DO NOT JOIN THE MILITARY !
Join the United nations or the peace corps.
Don't be a statistic for the benefit of boeing:
War deaths up, boeing shares up !
Save you self the trouble and SERVE your Country by working for PEACE NOT WAR !
MILITARY NO WAY !
(and they probably eat meat, and kill people)
