Military - November 2007

I volunteer at a local museum. I was helping to update the World War II case and found that one helmet was plastic. It looks like the American style brain buckets and the inside even looks like the helmet liner in those steel helmets with actual straps and webbing. There are unit insignias on each side, but I haven't had the time to find out which units yet. I have no idea what type it is, but think it could be a type used at bases during marches. Can anyone help me with this. I can provide additional details ad needed. Can anyone help me with this.

Who were the soldiers in the English Civil War? i.e. were they forced into joining the army? Were they mostly fathers and sons from a family?
I have been trying to find out how soldiers joined the war in a variety of key words but I haven't found what I'm looking for.
Thanks for your help.

Hello I'm in the Navy. I passed everything in MEPs.

I havent went to boot camp yet.

but ok now I have something called a Left varicocele(not painfull) kinda more noticeable than when the first MEPs doctor checked me out.

When I go to MEPs again to sign my Active duty contract do you think the medical staff will say anything when they check me again. could I be Discarged for that? is their a waiver for that? If you know anything more about this that I should know please tell me.

Thanks Have a fine navy day.

OK once again for you slow people. I am in the army and have been for almost 4 years, i have deployed, i am not stupid or a **** bag for those of you who knows what that means. Now my comander is trying to not let anyone on the overweight program take leave for x-mas. In the regulation it says that all PRIVLAGES are taken away, not leave. What i am asking is, if it is legal, and if so what regulation covers this(not AR 600-9 cause i read it last night). I think he can say no to leave just not for that reason, cause the overwieght program "is not a punishment".Any good answers would be helpfull. thanks

When I was in combat there was so much going on I did not have time to get scared, it was later almost a week that I found myself scared for no apparent reason.

I was decorated with a bronze star with v device, as a corpsman I feel that I was doing my job and did not disserve any special recognition for my actions on that day. But at the same time I was and am very proud to have received such an honor.

It is said that bravery is not the absence of fear but experiencing fear and doing what needs to be done anyway.
Heroism is someone who does the right thing at great and possible mortal risk.
