There are three types of dishonest people:
1. Liars
2. Damned liars
and
3. Statisticians.
No one "knows" what the real numbers are and no one ever will.
Beware of anybody who says that they have the "real" figures.

I don't think anyone really knows. They have funny ways of classifying stats, like if a US soldier is injured in combat, and gets airlifted to Germany, and dies in Germany, it's not considered a combat death. Actual death toll for US soldiers serving in Iraq is not in the 3,000's, it's actually more like 4 and maybe 5. Insurgent death tolls get even messier. They are often counted more than once and sometimes not at all. Same with Iraqis, and since most insurgents and Iraqis appear the same, it's hard to determine if a dead Iraqi was an insurgent after the fact. I can't even begin to quote a number, I've heard a wide variety of statistics.

There's a bunch of web sites for this pal. Just type in Iraq War casualties in some search engine and you'll be there soon enough.

All I know for sure is we haven't had another terrorist attack since 9/11.Maybe keeping them busy over there was not such a bad idea after all.

i am so sick of this question.
before you ask a question---LOOK AT THE ONES PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY ASKED.
plus..the stats are usually misled because of other types of deaths included with them that aren't related to the war. ie...suicides, car crash (on their own fault)...
there are many things that falter those statistics.
and again..please check to see if someone has already asked. please.
