A better question would be to ask how much money is lost to fraud, waste, and abuse EVERY single year on the domestic front. Between welfare abuse, excessive health care litigation, and pork barrel legislation our nation hemorages billions upon billions of dollars to NOTHING every single year. In california alone 17 MILLION dollars was spent on a phone survey of what percentage of native americans in the state identified themselves as gay. There will ALWAYS be waste and excessive spending... so why the concern over the few billions that have been lost in Iraq's situation when so much is being wasted at home?

Yeah i think tax money leakage is a very big problem with in the government. I think that america should swtich over to what the chinese do and have the death penialty for curruption. look at FEMA during Katrina and the billions lost there. And its not just the federal government its the state and local also,

Probably less than has been squandered and wasted on the War on Poverty and the War on Drugs. Both, after 40 years of fighting, we have yet to reach any significant benchmarks. I think if none have been reached by next July, we should withdraw all our funding and redeploy our assets in those 2 wars.

Less than 1% of what has been stolen or mismanaged in "entitlement"* spending on Social Security, Medicare, Welfare, etc.
* the fact is that nobody is "entitled" to any portion of another's paycheck. The federal government, per the Constitution, should only be taking what money it needs to conduct its enumerated duties. Anything else is corruption.

I disagree. I believe in what America stands for. That means not rooting for us to lose a war just because you can't stand the other isle of politics. I'd rather the money go to a war I believe in rather than have a huge government surplus of my money that I've been way overtaxed on just so our wealthy senators can fly around, burning jet fuel while complaining about global warming. It's my money, not Hillary's, Al's, or Huffington's

you really think that Clinton's method- shooting long range missles at 8 milion per shot on eye-of-sight targets was cheaper? or sensible? especially considering that he was sponsoring AlQuaeda- eg against the Yugoslavs?
I always wondered why they fired dozens of Cruise Missles against targets which had no air defences. Absolutely nothing to do with contrats, bribery and kickbacks of course- they were HONEST politicians........
Yeah. Right.

Tax dollars disappear every day! Look at New Orleans! Do you believe your tax dollars help the poor??? Corruption is everywhere in government, and I cannot understand why ANYONE would favor MORE government! Ever.
