People need to get the pressure off somehow. If and when things get out of hand, the army is always there but you don't want to call it in too early. France is not a dictatorship.

There is no justification to shoot anybody on sight, especially unarmed people throwing stones.
What happens if the bullets fired at the rioters miss and kill innocent people??
Do you even have any idea about bullet velocity and use of firearms in a built up area??
You clearly have no idea what you are talking about!

We here in State College PA, home of Penn State University, are a proud people... we actually got the chance to watch a bunch of college students riot and protest about a pizza shop running out of pizza and closing it's doors at 0230am. They tore down street lamps, burned sofas on the streets that were thrown out of 4th and 5th floor balconies...
Yeah, it's a shame the intelligence of this planet hasn't gone up in the past 20 years. It's a shame we can't shoot them so they don't breed more idiots, but we can't. The police here just kicked back, took video and arrested the "ring leaders" later... whom paid fines and were kicked out of college.
How would you like to go home and tell your parents you got kicked out of college becuase someone ran out of pizza, lamo!!!???
Take your video camera downtown and then send it to the police is the best recourse!

no way, you need to feel like you are there and since the end of ww2, the iatollah khomani faction and his hitler loving followers of 6 million, living in their nation's capitol have finally brought about the second time, violence against the government. these young kids are doing this at the beck and call of parents and grand parents and probably, berlin, the seat of euro government eventually will have to deal with this in their way

No, but the ones doing things out of hand should be shot with harmless rubber bullets and detained.

Like any military operation, a set of "rules of engagement" should be established and adhered to. That's one way to maintain discipline and decrease ambiguity for our forces.
