the Western World ... Switzerland. There hasn't been an attack on Switzerland in over 1,500 years ...
Even as far back as the Roman Empire there were two groups of warriors the Romans hired as mercenaries to guard their most important areas ... the Vikings, and the Swiss. Why do you think the Swiss have protected the Pope for the last 1,500 (or so) years ...?

Greenland is not an independent country ... it is a part of Denmark, and Denmark has been attacked several times in recent history (i.e. the last 200 years). Iceland was attacked during the Second World War by the Nazis (naval forces only). And Iceland used to be a part of Denmark as well (until 1944)

Switzerland. Every able bodied male between 18 and 60 is part of the militia and keeps a fully-automatic assault rifle in their home. The Swiss maintain a system of Air Raid sirens on every street and have artillery hidden in the Alps.
Nobody attacks them.
