Does anyone know if a Naval Officer can live or marry someone with a felony conviction? A friend of mine got into trouble when she was younger and now has a felony conviction. She has been dating her boyfriend who is an officer in the Navy. They want to move in together and eventually get married but when he first joined the Navy they did an extreme background check and he is worried the Navy will tell him that he cannot marry her. If you have any information on this please it would be appreciated.

Thousands of cars with "I support the troops" on their vehicles but no lines at the Army recruiting station. Where are all the men and women? A war supporter told me he was all for the war but didn't want his 19 and 21 year old sons in the Army. Why is that?

and saw another 9/11 conspiracy video. Not surprised by that, but what surprised by how many Bin Laden supporters there are, especially American supporters. It saddened me to say the least. Why do people support such an evil (whether or not he was involved in 9/11) murder who spread hate through the world?

I was wondering if there were any wives whose husband is stationed at Creech AFB/Nellis AFB. We're new to the area, and I'd really like to get to know some people. I'm a new mom [my sons 10 wks old], and I'm REALLY eager to get out of the house. Thanks!

My younger brother has already done 1 tour in Iraq and will be heading back there in January. I just feel that people forget what these soldiers sacrafice each and everyday for our safety and beliefs. I just wanted to start this so we can give some words of encouragement to all serving in the United States military. I cant express in words the amount of respect I have for each and every one of you. God Bless!!!!!!!

Me an my wife have been seperated for two months and I have been thinking about joining the military (Air Force) I know that right now the gov. would still consider us married and that if I where to join I would have to get certain information from her but we don't talk to each other. So the only way to get in is to get legally seperated or divorced as far as I know, however you have to be a resident of virginia for six months before they will grant a divorce. So I guess that really only leaves one option Legal Seperation so my question is ..
1. How long and complicated of a proccess is that?
2. does this negate her elligiblaty of benefits?
3. Will this make my enrollment proccess easier?

"It got a little testy at the debates the other day, where Barack Obama said he would be willing to meet with leaders of countries hostile to the United States. And then Hillary Clinton accused Barack of being 'naive.' Is this the same woman who thought Bill Clinton would forsake all others til death do you part?"
What you think?

I know many people think Iraq was a mistake - a majority of the country, according to polls. And many people say they support the war on terrorism but not Iraq.

But many of Bush's surveillance, detention and interrogation programs have been roundly criticized as well.

And even a bill protecting people who report suspicious activity to authorites from lawsuits was opposed by many Democrats.

So is there any specific measure that this administration has taken that Bush opponents think was a good idea?

This is a serious question, not a flippant one.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
