The site noted below gives total figures of dead and wounded for both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Clink on the OIF/OEF casualty update link. It's updated as of 0900 Eastern each Tuesday.

Was just curious, what is the significance of counting the fallen? Do we honor them by tracking them, or by remembering them in living life to the fullest and being greatful for the freedoms we possess?


And as for the female who would call us "mercenaries," well, frankly your welcome. Yes, it is soldiers like I that make sure you can spill filth from your mouth about those who make their daily work to uphold and defend the Constitution.

i'm not sure of a website. you could try military.com or whitehouse.gov, but as of a few weeks ago it was 3604. i work for the military and it was posted in the army newspaper.

there is a website for the poor civilians, not sure if there is one for the mercenaries though, the website is iraqbodycount.com. I think the number for military is 4,200.
