Most countries in Europe have a Volunteer Army with no conscription.

One exception is Switzerland.

Conscription has also been done away with in Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Bulgaria etc.

No. Many countries including Canada and the UK do not have mandatory service. Most of the European countries such as Germany and Switzerland have been reducing thier requirements over the years.

Very few countries require both males and females to serve. Israel is one but the men serve longer than the women and the women cannot go into direct combat roles.

well all countries consider "youth" different ages. as in iran, your not considered a youth after age 11. in most foreign countries women are married at 12.- no longer youths. America has the since that most countries dont, we do not force a person into war, as Americans we have minds to choose. and the age of being to join Americas armed forces is 17, some people might consider that youth, others might not.

No, many countries have that policy. In fact, not many are slaving their citizens by forcing them to serve the military.

If you think is a good idea to force people to serve their government, why the military? why not something more constructive like agriculture or industry work?

Eventually wars will be fought by remote controlled robots of all sorts controlled in the USA. There is coming a time when people will not be able to find meaningful employment anywhere because it will all be done by robotic machines by people who own the equipment and very few employed. Youth is doing what they need to, playing Nintendo.

17 year olds can serve if they have parental consent and agree to finish high school.
