How do the pilots that fly planes and drop bombs on people, sometimes incurring huge civilian casualities, sleep at night?

I mean, how did the pilots that dropped the bomb on Hiroshima sleep at night? How do people like that go through life

They killed thousands of innocents, even if it was meant to save American lives.

Not with regards to whether they were in Iranian waters or not, but with their treatment.

I mean, lets say you folded like a pack of cards (like they did), surely upon your arrival back in the UK you may be tempted to 'embellish' the things you had to endure to make it sound more reasonable about the sort of torture you went through before you 'sang like a canary'

Im not saying they didnt go through some bad stuff, but it was hardly hanging by your fingernails stuff, and when you consider that you know any trauma they went through they would have 'added to it'. it doesnt exactly sound like they had been the bravest of sailors.

And to top it off the female of the group is going to be over £100,000 richer. Nice little earner for her isnt it.

Well done lady. We need more 'brave' people like you.

Honestly these sailors make me sick, and thank god I cant get thumbs down on this question, because I know lots of you would be defending them even though they didnt show an ounce of bravery

That we really did go to war over oil? I get tired of losers complaining that we only get into wars if we get something out of it. Gas is $3.15 a gallon here! I really wish we would actually go to war over oil, at least then we would deserve all the crap people spew about the U.S. For the record, do you know the first contracts for oil that Iraq have sold have been to places like China, India and Vietnam? we know for sure they have been responsible for the deaths of all the Marines killed in Iraq and now Iran is developing nucler weapon which threatens the lives of all freedom loving people of the world. nations like Israel would most certainly come under attack from Iran. do you think we should just let Iran do what ever they wish or should we draw a line for them before they have the capability do destroy other countries with themselves?

US citizens actually think the USA is a "Good Nation" and our guys are the "Good Guys"...LMAO.

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran said on Sunday it would not discuss its "obvious right" to master the nuclear fuel cycle but was open to talks that could reassure the West that its atomic plans were not aimed at producing bombs.


Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini also told a weekly news conference the Islamic Republic's military was "totally prepared to defend the country and Iran is totally prepared for any possible military strike."

Iran's action recently and in the past scream out at us We must topple Iran we must act NOW .
Iran has no rights to nuclear fuel and we must make it clear they must not have it and back that rightful demand up
I do not like the idea of war I never have - But if we don't stop them now while we have a chance that window will close and they will unleash nuclear weapons on anyone they choose without thought or regaurd to life
I am convinced that Iran has placed the world in a them or us situation.

My husband has been deployed for 3 months and I still have quite a few to go. I can't seem to get to sleep at night cause I'm so used to him sleeping next to me. I know it's been a while but I just can't get used to it. It's starting to effect me and I have a two year old so I really need to be rested to take care of her. I've only been getting around 4 hours a night. I just can't seem to turn my brain off so to speak to get to the point where I can really sleep well. I was doing good for a while...but not anymore. Any suggestions or words of wisdom are more than welcome.

I'm going to be starting ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) in the fall, and I have to choose between Air Force and Army. Army has offered a better deal, but I was hoping to go Air Force and do Pararescue (I know how tough it is). What are the most similar career paths to Pararescue in the Army for officers?

I just want to get some outside opinions to help me do the research, outside of what the Army rep. might tell me.

my boyfriend is deployed in iraq. and what are some things he might actually really need? i already thought of candy, a power strip, magazines, those individual packets of sugar and creamer, hot sauce, sock, underwear, cotton t-shirts, copenhagen long cut a log of it, phone cards, batteries and what else? Thanks.

Also, should he be even dipping while in Iraq, won't that make him dehydrated?
