Why are we in Iraq......depends on who you want to believe.
Why did you join the army to kill people in a war you don't understand? If you joined the Army after the war was already in progress then only you have that answer; correct?

When did you join buddy? This thing in Iraq ain't new. And 9/11 was 6 years ago,,,we knew something was coming down the second we figured out those planes dind't crash on their own.
Point is...unless you joined up prior to 9/11 you shouldn't be suprised about where you are. The only person that can answer "why" is you.
You don't have to agree with it.You don't have to understand. There is nothing to understand. You took an oath. You just need to keep your head screwed on and come home safe. Watch your buddies back and they will watch yours.

I am a Viet vet.
We are not in a war. We are fighting terrorism esp. after the 9/11 incident. U r killing terrosts who came to our land but then again if we didn't touch their land, they wouldn't even come here.
And I understand how u r feeling, bec u don't know who's who.
I still don't like the idea wherein we still have to ask to "open fire" while being shot at. If I think I'm in danger, I'd shoot. That's how I made it through Vietnam at the age of 19.

Dude - be strong! Those of us over here can only see the pictures on TV, we don't get the full experience.
Yes, this war is ****** up. At least if the Bushies were making progress. But they're not. Probably a pull-out needs to happen.

This is gonna reveal my age to some.......but what would they do, if they had a war and no one showed up......the fighting is never done by the people who start the fight.....the starters are still at home with their families safe and warm....oh warm isn't an issue here.......but safe is.
