Law Enforcement & Police - July 2007

I want to know if texas will find out about my dui in tennessee. I got a 1 yr suspension of my license and have never had a tennesse license. They never asked me to forfeit my license when i got charged, and just told me to hang on to it. Does anyone know for sure if texas will find out? And no sarcasim please...ty.

It was scary i just left a rock gig and they stormed into the girls loo and kicked in some of the doors the only reason i was safe was cos i hid at the top of mine so they didn't see me and my dad came to pick me up and he's built like a 6ft2 lorrey driver and was armed with a metal chair he was carrying and he stormed in their and shouted at them and they backed down, anyway all cos my mate wanted the loo and i didn't even want to go! i just thought i'd share it with you was kind of shocking i could had been seriously harmed but i'm 18 and my dad won't always be their to save me!

I've noticed that they only defend blacks that are charged with a crime but will go to lengths to condemn a white if he's charged with a crime (police...etc)

After i bought the car I found out it has a lienholder. The car company came and repossessed it. I contacted the seller and he gave a check for the amount I paid. The check has no funds. I need help suing this crook. If i take a lawyer is gonna end up taking the whole thing. Please anybody familiar with procedures of suing somebody in Los angeles. I have never been in a court before please i need help from a to z. What kind of documnets i need to fill out. Please help....Thanks

Hey, can you guys believe the irresponsible act of that Phoenix, AZ police department trying to charge the guy that was being chased for the deaths of the people in the Copters?

I dont know about you, but i sent them a piece of my mind about how desperate they are in trying to bury the guy for something that was out of his control.

I was driving my friends car. Cop pulls me over and writes me a tint ticket and its not even my car. He says If I get it took off it will get thrown out. I can't take tint of a car thats not mine...

My nephew was picked up on a bench warrant for failure to appear. He never recieved notice of the court date and when he contacted his public defender he was told, to let the public defender do his job. My question is this, in order to get him out of jail, he needs a 1600 cash bond, but they were not sure if we could go through a bail bonds man.

I think I've just been caught out by a speed camera; a police van on a bridge. It was a dual carriage way, so the speed limit was 70Mph.

Ive heard they allow 10% and another 5mph. Is this true? If so that would mean I could do 82mph. I think i was doing less than 82mph.

Do you think i will have a speeding ticket?

What speed are they normally set at?

I liked this girl and she was in a long term abusive relationship. Well anyway her boyfriend of 5 years was on probation for domestic violence, and the other day he got arrested for d.w.i. Well the day he got arrested she found out that she was pregnant by him, and the officer had the car towed. Well now she might lose her job because she doesn't have a car to get to work and she cant pay her rent etc.
So I really like this girl and I know I will take her in if she was to lose her job and her place. So I was wondering if her boyfriend is looking at any jail time or anything. This is in TX and in TX the law isn't to relaxed on drinking and driving.

New Haven Conn. mayor has started to issue ID cards to illegal aliens. Why wont the police arrest them when they come in for the ID cards? they are known criminals. they make no attempt to hide that fact. its like the difference between a man selling drugs in a back alley, where they are not sure what he is doing, and the same man in a store called "drugs are us" with daily drug specials posted out front and drugs on display in the windows. the second guy makes no attempt to hide it.

the police do not like it when people say they just sit around eating doughnuts ( like in "police academy". they are teaching the recruit about doughnuts while the bad guys are lighting the police car on fire) but here we have the police doing just that. standing around eating doughnuts while criminals are waiting in line for ID cards.

is there a cop out there who can explain this?

The officer didnt give me a ticket. Instead he gave me a paper that told me i had to appear in court. I was going 62 in a 45 in ct. I have had 1 other speeding ticket a stop sign ticket and 2 parking tickets in the last year. What do you think will happen when i go to court.

Two officers (Callahan and Bressler) have taken out a search warrant for the residence of Mr. Robinson. On their way to the to Robinson's house they realize that the address on the warrant for the property to be searched reads: 144 Brown St Apt. 420. Callahan and Bressler know Mr. Robinson well and know that his address is really 144 Brown St. Apt. 240. The two officers decide that they are tired of dealing with judges and decide to just serve the warrant on Mr. Robinson's residence without going back to the judge's office and having the address corrected on the search warrant.
The two crime fighters go to Mr. Robinson's true address and serve the search warrant and find a lot of good evidence to ensure that the villain is locked up for a long time.
Did the two officers make a mistake by not going back and correcting the address on the warrant? Why?

I work at a parking lot. One day two cops appearanced at the lot and gave me a ticket that noted " no valet parking permit". But I am only a employee there and did not valet parking.Please tell me that cops did the right or fault? Thank you.

I'm currently a sophmore in college which up until now was planning on becoming a history teacher. All of a sudden the idea of becoming a cop stuck to me fast. I've always admired cops, whether big city cops or suburban, and want to know as much as I can about pursuing a career in the police force. What does it take to become a cop? Does it take special schooling? How is the salary? How are the hours? Do you regret becoming a cop, or is it even better than you imagined. Please, help me out with as much information as you can.
