I didn't get one but this is just a hypothetical question.
What would happen if the police left a parking ticket when I wasn't looking? when I find it I would rip it up. And then the police question me and I say that the wind must have blown it away.

My friend, who said she was good to drive, got pulled over and arrested for DUI while driving my car the other night. Problem is, the registered owner is actually my mother in law, who I very much do not want to find out about this. I was able to get around that at the tow place because they let her send a fax instead of come in person to release the car to me (I told her it was parked illegally). My notice from the cop said 'registered owner notified?' and it was marked 'NO'. Is there any reason they would send her a letter or contact her about it even though it said she wasn't contacted? I didn't receive a ticket or anything, just got the car towed.

Also, will I have to go to court for any reason? Since I didn't get ticketed and they just towed the car since I wouldn't drive it, I don't see a reason why I would but I'm not sure.

I have a friend who received several felonies for theft (larceny) in North Carolina. He got a good lawyer, but I was curious, what is the usual punishment for a case like this?

Will he go to jail? Be put on probation?

Are you allowed to live in another state while on probation?

I'm sorry, but I know nothing about things like this. Someone help!

so i got a speeding ticket, the officer who gave me the ticket did not get a speeding ticket, now we all know that all men are created equal and nobody is above the law.

but by him not receiving a ticket that violates the constitution where it states equal protection of the laws due to this fact wouldn't this mean that the ticket i recieved is void? (i was doing 89 in a 70 zone so he had to be speeding to catch up to me)

On the form returned they have all sections as OK but the " other information " states that I was arrested for touching a child inappropriatly ? The case was never proven and subsequently dropped by the police for lack of evidence. The information on the form is pretty graphic but the accusation was false ? How can I clear my name. Anyone seeing this would cringe however I haven'y done anything wrong. My Solicitor says just keep quiet about it but the CRB has just bought the whole thing back to life ? Help

i used to be a dancer/bartendar in a club called, "illusions", located in el monte, calif. I heard approx. 10 years later that the owner/my ex-boss, Moe, (can't remember his Iranian last name) was found murdered in the back office with the money still in the safe. How can i find out details? I worked there in the early 1990's. I'm not sure of the date(s)/year(s) he was killed.

Don't you think it's time to change the law regards joyriding, it appeers that in the USA if you take a car it's Grand Theft Auto which I think means you are charged with the theft of the car at it's street value. Is it time we took the same attitude

A friend of mine was involved in an accident which caused minor injuries. He was bailed after briefly taken into custody. He paid the necessary money for treatment of the injuries. But there is an impending case against him. Does he have to pay more compensation or is there a risk of further punishment like revoking of license?

Me and my boyfriend & friends were hanging out at the park, it was 8:30 at night & the park lights were on. we were walking around the park and all the sudden the police car turned on his spot light which made us run scaring us. well the cop then raced over there with no sirens & no lights on. he proceeds to check the whole park then come over to the cars where we were all standing. he takes his lights and flash them all over our faces & picks out my boyfriend jordan and josh. they both were interegated and then searched Josh was patted down and then Jordan was not in handcuffs and did not have any bulges in his pockets, well the cop then puts his hands down his pockets (without asking about wepons or any thing else) and rubbed around all 4 he found ciggs, a wallet & change. they also did not read the rights to them till they were at the police station. then the cop said he saw the boys had the hand on the locks to the food stand. he charged them only them with tresspassing. HELP!!!

I was out with someone the other day that was accused of stealing. She has served time 15 years ago for petty theft so this would be considered her 2nd offence as far as I know. Does anyone know if she will be served jail time or if she'll be let off with 3-6 years probation and a fine?

ok i was on the freeway going at regualr 65 mph speed, i saw a high patrol car right behind me but he did not siren or turn his lights on, after 30 sec to a minute he turned his lights on and siren. there was nowhere for me to pull over because there was a merging lane to my right so i stayed in my lane and got off the freeway at the next exit because i felt it was the safest thing for me to do , wen i got off the freeway i pulled into a neighborhood. after i stopped he ordered me to get out of the car and cuffed me,he asked me why i was running from the cops and i said i was looking for a safe place to stop. he then started to search my car and found less than a gram of marijuana. after he wrote all the paperwork he told me that i was pulled over for tinted windows.. was the search legal??

also can the cop prove that i was "trying to run away" without writing anything about it on the citation

also he did not read my miranda rights to me

i need help

asked her to report to the police station and has the right to show or not show. My sister showed up and talked with the detective. My cousin is charged with 1 charge Class C Felony for it being a little over 1000.00. The detective he talked to said there shouldnt be much to worry about since my sister was coopertive and was willing admitted to what she did and the detective also said he'll put in a good word for him since she has a clean record. I was just wondering does she really have nothing to worry about other than probation or will she have a greater sentence? we live in Arkansas
