Please? He lost his d.l. from a dui in 2001. Unfortunately, he had a whole bunch of them prior to that date. He went to a live in treatment center and I am proud to say he hasnt had a thing to drink since then. Yet, he needs to be able to drive. Any suggestions? All the states are connected ( in other words, if he applied for a license in say, VA., he would be refused because it would pull up his record in Florida, which revoked his license for life). I think the guy deserves a chance, he has not had a drink for over 6 years, yet, he feels like he is condemned for life! Oh, I admit, he has had loads of DUI's, but none that resulted in an accident or anything like that. In fact, I remember when he had one in his own driveway! No kidding, I was there!!! how that happened I will never know 'cause he didnt drive anywhere but we are talking about Florida here, and Florida is extremely corrupt! So, folks, whatcha think? Can't wait to here this controversial response..LOL!!!!

...like you see in movies sometimes where the bad guy is getting away and a Cop shows his badge and jumps into a civilians car and takes off in pursuit.

So is that actually a real law that can be used under extrodinary circumstances or just total Hollywood fantasy?

Thanks.

My daughter unfortunately fell in love with what we thought was a nice young man. They became engaged, then the real monster came out. Kept track of every second of her time. Made false accusations of cheating, would not let her see old friends, even females. Then the beating started. He smacked her around because he found a matchbook on the floor. We went to police and fled a report. He threatened her and she lied and said it never happened. He beats her up again on her birthday and rapes her. She gets a PFA. He breaks into the house and beats her again. To the hospital by ambulance this time. Concussion, impaired vision and broken tooth. Yesterday he tried to run her off the road. Wha are the police waiting for!!!!!!! They pick him p and release him no bail. Are they waiting for him to kill her? What do we have to do to get some action?

I got a speeding ticket in may and i went to court to request defensive driving but the form has my driver's license number wrong (a 7 instead of a 2). on the ticket itself, i took a closer look and indeed the 2 looks like a 7. the officer took down my info from my license. i already requested to take the defensive driving. I live in a Apt with my husband and not sure which building this guy lives in, but he has been making me feel scared and very uncomfortable to where I keep asking my husband if we are going to move to another Apt or rather we are buying a condo anytime soon. I've lived here in this Apt since 2004 and I take out the trash whenever it get full and I've never had any incident with any neighbors. Then, one evening, I just had to take out the trash because I threw something that stunk. As I was coming back from the trash and approached my Apt buidling I didn't see this guy at first, but he all of a sudden came out behind the staircase, which was dark. As he stood there, there were no facial expression, but a blank stare starring right back at me so I froze too. The thing was, to get back to my Apt I had to walk right by him .. inches away. I figured I should just keep walking and if he grabbed me I would scream and fight back.

In our community a child was recently missing for three days without the police calling an amber alert. Their excuse: "There was not enough evidence the child had been adbucted to call an amber alert."

This is one of the most populous urban areas in the U.S. The likelihood that someone took the child is very high. How much evidence does any police force need that a child MAY HAVE BEEN absucted, beyond the fact that the child is missing and has not been found after days?

Now, national agencies are getting involved. But I can't help feel that the system failed the parents at the local level. Has anyone else ever heard of the authorities hesitating to issue an amber alert based on the excuse "There is not enough evidence that the child was abducted"? Isn't the child being missing enough?

I was in Friendship Wisconsin two months ago and I never paid the ticket. On the stub it sais they can put a warrant out for my arrest and suspend my IL DL..Is this true? My friend has like two tickets in Wisconsin and he never paid them and all they did was suspend his Wisconsin License..meaning he cant drive in WI. The ticket was a speeding ticket it was like 350 dollars. Im not paying it because I know i wasnt speeding but I lost in court. Anyways...Im never in Wisconsin..does anyone know if it will affect my IL license..just not paying it? I know its on my record already because I was found guilty but can any legal action be taken? Can they extradite me across state lines beause of it? Im really worried that something is gonna happen ..but several people keep telling me thats its fine and nothing is gona happen.

I have two speeding violations that I never took care of. The first one I received in the state next to me when I was younger. It has been a long time and I never paid it because it slipped my mind. I have a speeding violation from my area and haven't paid it yet due to a terrible financial problem that I thought (wrongly thought) was more important.

Anyways, they have both turned into warrants sadly. I am afriad of what can happen and am not sure of what do to. I want to take care of these and can hopefully afford to do so. First, my question is can I "pay" these off. Second, if so can I call to find out how much and they won't trace my call to come and arrest me? These are considered misdemeanors or?

If they tell me that I can pay these off they won't try to trick me or anything will they? Like saying I can pay them off only to arrest me when I show up to do so? Any help or advice on how to take care of these two warrants would be greatly appreciated.
