heres the scenario-> i was gonna make a left at an intersection, the girl in front of me went, i went, and someone decided to make a right just before we made a left. after making a left, some huge truck was getting out of a parking lot so, it made me stop in the middle of the crosswalk where at that point the light turned green for the opposite traffic and i was blocking a bus.

but my dilemma is that the if the guy from the opposite traffic didnt make a right just before i made a left, i would have had enough room to NOT block the bus,

STILL, the cop gave me a ticket.

do u guys think i'll have a chance of getting my ticket dismissed if i plead my case? i live in california and if anybody knows, it was in the city of Glendale.

i also have a history of tickets like speeding and failure to stop at a stop sigh.

PLEASE, please people, give the best advise of what to do to get out of it, i really really dont think i was at fault

If I lie, it's a crime, if they lie, it's legal...and condoned. It gives the impression they are above the law. As far as that goes, they can make up any story/charge they want, at any time, and a judge will side with them 99.99% of the time

They misspelled my street name "grancille" which should be "granville" v NOT c!!!! Is thisi fair? Has this happened to anyone else?

I got in a car accident today. No ticket was issued, but the officer said it looks like it was my fault although there were no witnesses except the other drivers friend who of course insists it wasn't her fault....I fully know it was. So, if he issued no ticket, does that mean neither party will get one?

There is a camera on the corner of Francisquito/Ramona in Baldwin Park. I was making a right turn on Francisquito and the camera flashed. Then i thought the ticket was going to come by mail but 2 police officers go to my house and personally take me the ticket...my friend answered the door and they were asking for me. I though that was kind of odd, so i pass there the next day and there is ABSOLUTELY NO sign that says can't turn right on red. I already sent my ticket cuz i didnt want to have a record or anything. What should have i done? and where do i call to make sure other people dont get caught in that anymore?

I met this guy last fall, and we went on a few dates...to the movies, etcetera, and I discovered I didn't like him, and told him. We weren't even going out, but he said something about not wanting to even live if he couldn't have me, so I told him we would always be friends. Then he started leaving very sexually explicit e-mails and things and he totally freaked me out, so I told him to back off. He apologized, but soon after went back to the explicit e-mails and then told me that "he would always be around." Well, anyway, I blocked him from everything and I went to visit friends for a couple months in another state. I just got back two days ago, and today I was at the library and he followed me all around town (there was no one around) and then I thought I had lost him but I realized that he had followed me home and watched me go into my apartment. What should I do? I'm scared of him and I don't know why, and I don't know what I should do.

...and you are going the speed limit? Now, if you are going UNDER the speed limit that's one thing. But when you are AT the limit?

I live in Colorado and you can't go more than a few miles on a two lane road without someone PASSING you because they want to speed. Some will even do it when it isn't a legal passing zone.

Not only are they ILLEGALLY behind you (wouldn't be there if they weren't speeding) but then they risk YOUR safety by passing you by breaking the legal limit.

I cant see how they can have ANY concern for their own well being pulling stuff like that.

I just hate that humans can be so brazen and snide like that?

What do the rest of you think when this happens to you

With the police abusing their power against african-americans more and more, how can any black person justify becoming a cop? One time is too many, and we have seen or known of this happening, and the rationale of "well, maybe I can make a difference" just doesn't wash. Why would you betray your race by going over to the enemy? And yes it is a betrayal. The system is not for you at all, so what convinces you that its OK to make a deal with the man? Going along to get along isn't working. Do you realize that the crack epidemic is aimed AT you, its a blatant form of genocide perpetrated by the white government to "disappear" your people, yet you help them by locking up millions of young black men. Why?

If you're familiar w/ this scam, you know it's one or two people (usually guys, but I've heard of girls doing it too) in a white van hawking stereo speakers. The speakers aren't worth what you're paying for. How do you stop these people?
