to drive ur car through a parking lot and drive through the parking spaces instead of using the lanes?? Can u get a tix for this ?? My friends r having a disagreement.

Just tonight we realized that my 900 dollar motorcycle and 100 dollar bicycle was stolen. They were locked with a padlock which was obviously cut with bolt cutters. The lock was gone, same with the bikes. We called the cops and filesd a theft. Luckilty they didn't take the registration/title to the motorcycle.We know the theives were kids, because they took the bicycle.How do we get this stuff back? Go looking for it ourselves, and how do we find my bicycle? My Dad said it would be painted flat black, since the had stolen it.


BTW: We were here at the house all day today and yesterday.

Will I be incarcerated for the remainder of my sentence (99 days {I've already done 81}) if I turn my self in for failure to appear warrant issued in Dec 05? Since Dec I lived in a sober house for 13 months, secured a position as a social worker, volunteer countless hours to community organizations, totally changing my life for the better.

What if you're in small claims court, and the plantiff or defendent brings up that you also committed other types of crimes that you never got caught for. Does that mean that it's ok for the cops to arrest you again, during or after court? Were not talking about murder here, maybe fraud or something.

A friend got pulled over and was arrested for an old warrant. The cop didn't ticket him or anything, just arrested him. Now come to find out, there's a ticket on it. He ticketed him, but didn't tell him he was going to, didn't have him sign it or anything. Is this legal? Can cops give you a traffic ticket with out telling you, or having you sign it? He just found out now, 6 months later bc he got a letter in the mail about it. Thanks

What with all this terroism going on lately i've started to feel really wary around muslim people. I was on the train in birmingham earlier and there was this muslim man fumbling around in a rucksack and i was really quite worried, yet i felt really gulity about feeling this way. I am in no way a racist, i have pakistani, indian and black friends but i cant help but feel untrusting towards muslim strangers now, and i've started to think 'are they safe or would they secretly like me dead?' Does anyone else feel this way? I think it is so wrong but is this what the country is coming to??? What du guys think? x

People who experience abuse at the hand of one or more officers of the law often times do not report the incident. Why?
For the same reasons that some women who are raped do not report the rape.
They fear retaliation and or the officer that they report it to will treat them as though they had it coming or they lying.
Many of the questions that are answered by law enforcement officers in Yahoo answers regarding police brutality/misconduct proves that this is in fact the case.
The law enforcement officer does not answer the questions with supportive or helpful advice but rather with threats and inuendos.
I am sure that there are many police persons who are good honest cops that truly want to do what they have sworn to do and that they do their job in a ethical manner.
I am also sure that there are people who have lied about experiencing abuse at the hand of a cop.
But, does this mean that we are to believe that every cop is innocent and every complaint against a cop is a lie?

and reports a man with a gun, does the officer have to report it? if so, to whom does he report it? and is it procedure to draw down on the man that was reported while women and children are present based on an anonomous informant call?

the police in the uk are there to uphold the laws of the land and when in uniform reprsent the law not race creed or religion. if the ethnics wanted to become police then there is nothing to stop them as long as they uphold the law of this land. i feel that it is wrong to fast track ethnic police officers because of race or religion. i have nothing to do with the police but would like to know what the general opinion is

I am babysitting, and about 15 minutes ago, I saw somebody who I think was trying to break into a house!! He was pushing on the window panes on the outside. He was also dressed in black, even though it's almost noon. What should I do? I am not positive that he was trying to break in the house!! Any policemen with ideas?

I posted this in a different section and no one seemed to know the difference between a notice and a ticket. I hope I will have better luck here.


Traffic violation?
I recieved a traffic violation NOTICE and was wondering where I can find out information about some of the legal questions I have. First of all, it was not me driving my car but my husband. Am I required to turn him in? If it were anyone else I wouldn't feel so bad about it but, he is my husband. What, if anything can I do to just pay the fine but also not have to lie to anyone in authority?

It was a falilure to stop at a red light (VC 21453) in California.

I recieved a notice not a ticket so I cannot just pay the fine. (The reason I ask is there a way to just pay a fine). I also don't have a problem with the ticket but I feel REALLY bad because the notice wants to know who was driving. I feel a moral obligation to my husband, more so than to the police.

I was sitting at a red light when an ambulance can form behind the guy to the left of me pulled forward diagonally in front of me. After the ambulance went throught and the light turned green the guy pulled into the lane that I was in and drove at around 15-20 mph in a 45. He then slowed even more as if he were going to pull into a gas station, when he didn't turn I got right on his butt and he flipped me off. I got into the left lane and passed him and returned to the right lane. I got about 50 foot on him and hit the brakes while flipping him back off. The road was wet in this spot because of a banks sprinklers, and the wheels locked up for a split second. He didn't even have to hit the brakes because I had enough room. At this point he started to point to the side of the road like he wanted me to pull over, but I continued and he followed for two miles. he then got next to me at an intersection and said that I could expect a ticket in the mail for careless driving.

I know someone has asked before, but the same numer (866) 394 - 4494 has called me saying the same thing, if he could type up what my what I said in response to some questions. I tried to find the origin of the number or some info about it, but it led me here. After I decided to hang up because I didn't understand what was going on, the number (666)666 -6666 called me. i put out several flat cake pans of warm beer in my front yard to drown some pesty crickets. i read where this works really well, but it backfired. the neighborhood dogs drank the beer and one staggered into the road and caused a accident and another one bit the old man who lives across the street. now everyone has threatened to sue me. can they do this ? i never meant to get the dogs drunk. please help...thanks
