My EX boyfriend is an absolute idiot. We're still friends, but I dumped him for the obvious reasons below..

He is 18 years old. In one month the boy managed to accomplish
-Collection agencies calling
-Blowing all his money on drugs
-Speeding in someone else's car with only his permit
-Stealing from burger king

The stuff he stole from burger king was only considered a misdemenor. He got a letter saying he could either pay a fine and the whole thing would be over, or he would have to show up for a court date. Well, he didn't pay the fine and he didn't show up for the court date. What will happen?

I got into a domestic dispute and convicted of larceny. The judge said that if I did community service and kept out of trouble for a year it would be taken off my record. So does this mean that I do not have to put that I have been convicted of a crime on applications and school applications?

I received a parking ticket while I was staying over at my boyfriend's house a few Saturdays ago. The ticket stated that I was being fined for parking overnight (2AM-6AM). I will be meeting the officer who gave me the ticket this Friday to contest the ticket based on the street sign which states that parking is prohibited for more than 4 hours at a time EXCEPT on weekends and holidays. Apparently my boyfriend's village has this weird (to me) law that people who don't live there aren't aware of, namely no overnight parking on the street. (The city I live in has no such rule, I park my car outside of my house all the time.)
How do I properly reason with the officer so he waives the ticket? I don't want to go into a wordy discourse, which I am prone to doing, and don't want to do anything to tick him off. Help?

mY wife was home and I was at work. She said that the police knocked on the door and told her they were looking for someone, so they had to search our home. When they entered, they didn't really look, they checked our bedroom and then proceeded to ask questions. THey asked questions about immagration, they asked if I was a citizen, and that they needed to talk to me. Is this legal?

When they suspect you of something and then arrest you and you're innocent why won't they let you talk. You'd say, "Please officer, get me out of these cuffs! I'm 100% innocent!" Then the cop would say, "Quiet! You have the right to remain silent!" Then you'd say, "But officer..." Then he'd cut in and say to you, "SHUT UP! I'M TAKING YOU IN AND THAT'S FINAL!"

Could it be that this seemingly empty-headed chick REALLY beleved that the sky was falling, OR, Did this criminal mastermind find a way to dupe everyone for miles around to follow her away from where her gang was waiting to knock over a bank!!!

Is there really "Rehabilitations" for sexual predators and repeat offenders and should they be released back into society? If so, what is the tell tell sign that they will not repeat the horrible acts previously found guilty of?

Literally 3 blocks from my house, I got stopped for going 32 in a 25 mph. I didn't ask to see the radar (probably should have) and told him I was a resident of the neighborhood and always drives very cafrefully.
I had speeding ticket problems in the past but have been clean for 7-8 years now. I always just paid them in the past, The one time I did try to fight it I had to pay anyway (this was in PA when I was going to school there).
I drive like an old lady generally now b/c I was sick of getting tickets in the past. This is so upsetting I've been so good for so long now...AND he gave it to me the day before my 31st birthday....Thanks Officer Poophead!

I received a speeding ticket and the officer wrote down the wrong date completely (day/month AND YEAR!). I plead not guilty because I was not present in the county on that date, in that year the ticket states. I understand officers can make minor mistakes on tickets, but it was June 2007 and he wrote it for 2006. I now have a court date set for next month. What sort of argument or style should I use with a Mississippi Judge to argue this? Any tips will help!

Ok im 16 years old and am going into my senior year at highschool. I will turn 17 in my senior year, my birthday is october 1st. Now i really want to become a police officer, my grandfather was a police officer, alot of my family is military, and I think joining the police force would be good. Whats the age to join? Can you be 18? Do you need to go to college? Then apply? I mean I can do that if needed. Do i need to get a degree in Criminal Justice? What exactly does that do with becoming a police officer? Where would I need to go? I'd like to be a patrol officer. Driving around, patrolling.

So whats the age? is 18 good? What should I do that would best benefit me into becoming a police officer? What degrees? or anything

Thanks.

Which positions have more power, and what do they do? At least, where are each within the ranks of prison authority?

Just think of the money it would save taxpayers if we let Mexico run the prisons we put hard-core criminals in. It shouldn't cost $30,000 a head there like it does here?
We could also save money in "psychiatric evaluations" by hiring people with a BS in Psychology instead of a team of psychiatrists. Hey, I'll tell you he's insane for $25! I could figure it out easily with my limited knowledge.

I guess Pigs is a non starter as is Filth.
Only LEOs Text for law Enforcement Officers is emerging as the common term.

Last night, my cousin was driving home from work at 2 AM. She was going 50 mph in a 55 mph zone. It was a deserted stretch of road except for the driver behind her, who was riding her bumper. She kept waiting for him to pass her, but he didn't. So, she sped up to 55 so she wouldn't be blinded by his headlights. The cop behind her then flashed his blue lights.

Now, we've all heard the horror stories of criminals posing as police officers or stealing cop cars. So, my cousin was a little apprehensive since no one else was around, and she didn't know why she was being pulled over in the first place. She wasn't speeding.

She put on her emergency lights to acknowledge him, slowed down to 40 mph, and had every intention of pulling over at a public, well lit area, which was only a couple of miles away. Before she was able to reach it, she saw four more police cars up ahead. They had set up a road block, and they all rushed her when she stopped the car.
