I have two speeding violations that I never took care of. The first one I received in the state next to me when I was younger. It has been a long time and I never paid it because it slipped my mind. I have a speeding violation from my area and haven't paid it yet due to a terrible financial problem that I thought (wrongly thought) was more important.

Anyways, they have both turned into warrants sadly. I am afriad of what can happen and am not sure of what do to. I want to take care of these and can hopefully afford to do so. First, my question is can I "pay" these off. Second, if so can I call to find out how much and they won't trace my call to come and arrest me? These are considered misdemeanors or?

If they tell me that I can pay these off they won't try to trick me or anything will they? Like saying I can pay them off only to arrest me when I show up to do so? Any help or advice on how to take care of these two warrants would be greatly appreciated.

Generally on traffic offenses, all you have to do is pay the fine and the agency will recall the warrant. No one has the time or money to come and "hunt you down" for a traffic violation. The only time an agency is going to go to all the trouble to "set up" someone with a warrant is for more serious criminal offenses. Just contact the agencies you know you have the warrants through and set up a payment plan or find out what they will require you to do. Your license should be suspended for the local warrant, so you need to stop driving, or you will be arrested and will have to pay for that too.

First off, your Driver's License is or will soon be suspended. You can call the agency that issued the ticket to check on the warrant and ask how you need to take care of it. We won't come to your house, because we don't give a damn about some piddly misdemeanor failure to appear warrant. Well, if you live in a small town and they are bored they might.

As for the out of state warrant, they usually won't expedite for those warrants because they are small and not worth the expense of transporting you. Just call and clear that one up too.

Now heads up. Clear this crap up ASAP. How demeaning and horrible would it be for you to get stopped for a having a break light out, then get hauled off to jail on the warrant? Imagine this all happening while you're driving your kids to soccer practice, or when you're on your way to an important job interview, or an exam.

Pay all the fines for your violations and file for the abrogation of the corresponding warrants so that you will not be arrested.

you could try to get court dates set for the tickets, but i think you have to appear in person and i dont know what they would do. my advice would just bring enough money to bond out if you are arrested and after all this bs is over you would feel much better.stop being scared.its no big deal.
