Alls I have to say is:

I'm sorry you feel the need to hurt yourself. I really wish you could go to see a counselor to help you with this. You are too important to hurt yourself and possibly die, people need you in this world and would be devastated if you were to die, or even found out you try to hurt yourself.

I don't know why that would happen(the cops showing up) you need to look up on the internet a number to call when you need help that is 100% anonymous. BUT I really wish you wouldn't hurt your self anymore. Please try to get some psychological help.

I'm working on the basis that you are in England or Wales. Every person arrested and taken to a police station has the right to free legal advice from a solicitor whilst there. This can either be a solicitor you choose, or the duty solicitor. Although duty solicitors tend to have a bad name as being people working for the police, this is a myth. There are some poor ones out there but the vast majority are very good. They will make representations on your behalf. If you wish to email me and tell me where in UK you are, I may well be able to give you the names and telephone numbers of some very good criminal lawyers who will accompany you to the police station. This is a totally free service. Finally, it is extremely unlikely your case will go to court, let alone end up in a prison term

How awful for you! Do you have or can you get a copy of your medical records to take with you Tuesday--especially, if you've been diagnosed with depression and you have nothing in your records of any time when you've said that you wanted to hurt others.

The police officer just might not have known what else to charge you with, in which case, I would think, the judge would throw out the charges. Have you talked to your social worker? Have you talked to a mental health professional who has treated you recently or sometime in the past? Ask if "unlawful violen.. " is the normal charge for a sui (it won't let me write out the whole word) attempt.

I do not think you will be charged. Think on if I was presented with someone holding a knife I would not be over willing to play a hero. Some time ago in my home town someone with mental problems held a sumari sword in public in a threatening manner> He was shot dead by the police. I do not want ot go into the rights and wrongs of that situation but count yourself lucky

sounds like youll get through this uncharged. Im sorry to hear what youre going through, I know a little how you feel, I have combat related PTSD and get constant suicidal and violent urges that have led me into conflict with the law in the past. If you didnt have the dangerous weapon in a public place there isnt a lot they can do and when this goes to the CPS theyll probably have a look at your medical history and decide no action is necessary. Good luck and let me know what happens

Your problem is that you live in the UK. It is NOT your fault!
The ambulance service always take the police to cases of people who are threatening self harm.
The 'FILTH' take their chance in these cases to arrest and charge the ill person with assault or affray. This helps them get their blood money bonuses. They take their poor victim to the police station, not to the hospital as they do in civilised countries. They are filth!
Don't worry, the courts are getting wise to this so you will only get done for affray and get probation at the very worst.

What to do.

Contact your doctor NOW. Say it is an emergency, which it is, and get help. There are drugs which can help you short term. Don't worry about the adverse publicity these drugs get. They can help and will get you through this difficult period in your life. The only thing that matters is you and your future happiness.

Ask your doctor to get you counselling. It works. It really works. Also the court will be sympathetic if you have taken action yourself.

I'm really sorry to hear that, you are feeling that low, you are hurting yourself, please co and seek help, before you try and take that extra step, I'm sure that you will be fine with the charges as the police did say, that you never threaten or hurt anyone, i really hope it all works out for you, its horrible when you feel that low, i have been there, it is a very scary place to be,keep safe and all the best

You need to tell your social worker what happened and have her/him testify on your behalf. You will have to disclose your mental health issues in front of the court, but it's well worth it in order to avoid jail. I can't believe this happened to you! Find someone else that you can talk to, a family member or friend that you can count on when you need to talk to somebody and forget the hotline number.

this sounds absurd. Get yourself a good lawyer and talk to your therapist. What they should have done was hospitalized you on an emergency detention. However, every state and local government has different statutes, i'm not sure what they are in your area. Good Luck

God Bless
