Some people are just mean and don't think the law applies to them. I suspect most people, however, break the law out of desperation. I think if our society did a better job of educating kids and preparing them for adulthood, there would be fewer criminals.

I would be willing to bet that everyone breaks a law sometime during a 7 day period!

There are so may laws on the books that it is probably breaking the law to sleep over 8 hours!

Which Law? Any law or every law? Some people have no social concsience. They have no idea that their actions will affect others. I have a brother who is like that and as a kid he let off a firework which went up a chute in a playpark and burned the dress of a young girl. He had no malice in him but he also did not realise the result of his actions. Lots of other people are just bad bastards!

Some people are so bad off economically they feel it is the only choice left for survival.
Some like the thrill of doing something illegal.
Some have no conscience and really do not understand why other people get upset for their actions.
I have always followed the law.....it is so irritating to carry so much insurance because I am told to and then watch people not pay for any coverage and have much more spending money. I consider them the gamblers of life.

It can be difficult to clear your name if you have a criminal record. This is one reason why you should not break the law. Criminal records are kept by authorities for years, even if you are acquitted or released for a crime. It can be extremely difficult to find employment if you have a criminal record. Most employers are wary about applicants with criminal records.

People who have a criminal record are sometimes viewed as suspects by authorities for future crimes. These crimes may not have been committed by the suspect. However, the criminal record keeps him or her in the system that law enforcement reviews when performing numerous investigations. Being chosen as a suspect in a crime that you do not commit can be a very strenuous experience.

That's at least why they shouldn't.

Many, most cultures don't recognize the morally restrictive legal system that we have here and get ensnared in it for one. We have one of the most difficult societies in the world to live in because it is so morally restrictive and backed up with its justice system. For this reason we have the highest incarceration rate in the world per Capita. Prison is the answer to everything here. Government, police and court system is the answer to everything instead of the long since dead family unit. Everything is illegal here and it's only getting worse. Nobody obeys the law because nobody respects the ever imposed law or those who ever impose them...and ever attempt to enforce them....That answer your question?

Asking cops won't get you a straight answer. Even they break the law, especially when it comes to civil rights violations

Because our society has promoted narcissism. They love themselves so much that they think they deserve whatever they want and shouldn't have to work for it. They think the law applies to everyone but them.

The crime rate is usually higher in rougher areas, generally in rougher areas there's nothing for them to do so they get bored to the point where they commit a crime for something to do, to give them a sense of achievement and in some cases get more money e.g. thug
