They have no problem finding illegal immigrants, but what the point when the government doesn't kick them out, maybe it something to do with their human rights, bless we couldn't possibly risk sending them back to a country where they are wanted for murder,rape or other act of atrocity, much better to let them stay here and give them a better start in life, like homes, hospital,schooling and benefits, then they can see just how good life could be. then turn around and try and blow us and themself up. !!!!!!!!

I think there is a big difference between finding a simple illegal immigrant and finding car bombers. Obviously for the latter all stops will be pulled out and all resources possible used to catch the perpetrators of what could have been another mass murder incident.
As for illegal immigrants I am all for rounding them up and sending them home. I'm also for closing our borders and sending back all immigrants who commit crime. I'm only for immigrants who can add to our society and not help make it worse.
Dont blame the police for the state of this country. Everything that the Police do is pushed by the government. They have brought this country to its knees, NOT US.

That is because our government is not actually looking for the illegal immigrants. They are looking the other way. If they were serious about cleaning up the mess like about 90% of the American citizens want done, they would build the fence.
Then the government can begin to sort through the illegals. They should kick out drug dealers, any illegal housed in our prisons, and gang members. Then begin with the law abiding ones. If they are working and supporting themselves, they can stay. If they are collecting welfare and generally sucking services, they get kicked across the fence, too. That will also put an end to anchor babies. If the fence is not built and they are allowed amnesty, there will be 200 million more Mexicans arriving shortly.

No were not gullible we just have another organisation other than the police who's task its to track down illegal immigrants.
Its not the polices jobs to find illegal immigrants, that's what immigration are for..

It's not that we can't find the illegal immigrants, I'd say 80% of the people I deal with are illegals. The problem is that I can't do anything to them. I work for a local police department and our policy is that we can't ask someone their immigration status unless we have arrested them. Even then, nothing really happens to them. They don't get deported, and are released the next day most of the time.

Maybe if some of the criminals would slow down on crime, the police would have time to concentrate on the illegals, too.
And I'm sure there are alot more illegals picked up than we know but the media can't keep you stirred up if they report that.
And what about all those "law abiding citizens" who know where many illegals are but do nothing to report it?
Police aren't the only ones responsible for seeing the laws are obeyed. That falls on every citizen in this country and unfortunately, most of them aren't too honest or conscientious.

The government doesn't invest hundreds of man hours and thousands of officers to find illegal immigrants. The government doesn't care about illegal immigrants. The government DOES care about terrorists - and it reflects the fact that any sane person values the capture of people bent on killing indiscriminately above illegal immigrants.
However - that doesn't necesarily mean they've got it right, and caught the right people. Remember Jean-Charles de Menesez?

Because it is not up to the police to hunt illegals it is the job of the federal government and those people are called agents not police officers,so if you are going to make a statement get your facts right.

The police have found these so called car bombs because it was them who put them there in the first place, nobody but the police or the so called "intelligence services" would use such a conspicuous car and park it at an angle with its lights on which was almost certain to attract the attention of even the morons in the london police.

The Govt knows it is far more important to have a population in fear of; A) the so called 'terrorist threat' (to use as a lever for ID cards, for example), and B) each other (immigrants, feeding the Right Wing, etc).
Rather that than to give the 'chattering classes' their voice!
Yes, I think we are being rather gullible, and anyone who buys newspapers, or subscribes to Sky TV, is complicit in this.
