Okay, so the other day I was driving to work and I saw a silver car behind me, but I didn't see any lights on top of the car, so I slowed down just to be safe. I put my cruise control on and when I started to turn down the street in big letters on the side of the car said "State Trooper" so I felt relieved. I got to work and all but when I told a co-worker of mine that I coped followed me on the way and she told me this

"well, it doesn't matter because they aren't allowed to clock you since you were in front of them" She said something about they don't have a accurate reading on the speed.

I live in the State of North Carolina, I looked this up and haven't found anything. So is this true? Or is she trying to get me a ticket? Help me out please! Thank you!

Why is it O.K. to say that you're ALL upstanding citizens who always do the right thing every time no matter what, but not O.K. to say that you're ALL a bunch of donut-eating, wife-beating,gun-toting glorified gangsters?

the robber shoots and kills that customer who later it's found out was a police officier who was off duty. Do you think that the robber should be charged for murdering a cop "which is more suvere punishment" or charged as though he was a civilian. I know murder is murder and yes they should be punished harshly. My point is the cop was off duty, the robber didn't know he was shooting a cop and maybe if the cop was in uniform the robber may have serrendered and things would have turned out differently. Do you feel that the robber should be charged with killing a civilian or cop? Please keep in mind that states do come down harder on people who knowingly kill cops. What do you think?

went to pick my wife up at work. 1:00 am. while driving to get her i drove through a small town. the speed limit was going from 55 to 40. i crossed the line into the town doing just about 40. I was pulled over. the officer asked if i knew why he pulled me over. i replied no. (which was the truth) he replied i was speeding i was going 43 mph. he ran my info and said he was letting me go with a warning. I drive a brand new minivan not some hotrod. this really bumms me out. ive always had respect for the police and law. after talking to other people even in that town they say they have had similar things happen to them. so what my question is. why would the police do this. pretty mutch make up an excuse to stop someone not doing anything wrong good luck. god bless

earlier tonight me and my girlfreind were parked facing out of this long gravel driveway the leads to a house thats being built. well tonight while we were doing our thing some guy pulls in the driveway, blocking me, and is like "this is private property, im the home owner" so i was like ok ill leave, and then he said "im getting your tag and calling the cops. so i left, only to realize he followed me. so i kinda had to speed and run a red light to get him off me, cause, honestly i thought he was gunna hurt us, the "chase" lastesd like freaking 15 minutes....my question is... can he really do something to me? i mean, i didnt mess with anything on his property, didnt give him problems about leaving, and wasnt even close to his house...sorry this is long just kinda freaking out right now

After hearing about this pedophilia freak Jack McClellan on TV I was interested in his site. My question... Is it illegal to view such a site? And also is it legal to search and find other such sites with the intent of reporting them to the authorities? Not talking about joining a site just finding one that has obvious child pornography and reporting it to the feds? Is it illegal?

I was wondering a person's general rights when in the vicinity of the police. If I see a police officer interact with a subject, am I allowed to refuse to leave the vicinity so that I can be a third party witness to their conversation? Is there a reasonable distance they can force me to go to when the subject is passive?

I hear too many instances in the news where police don't know their authority when it comes to civil rights issues from flag desecration (some may not approve but it is indeed a right) to a mother being able to breastfeed in a public place. Am I allowed to speak with an officer in a situation I am not directly involved in? Am I allowed to call the police to request further police assistance if an officer is unreasonable?

I think the Nazi's started this way.

Benjamin Franklin once said "Those who are willing to give up liberty for temporal safety deserver neither liberty nor safety".

I think he had a great point.

I will never take one myself.

It should be illegal to give random drug tests. What people do in the privacy of their own home should not be tested. It is a voilation of the 4th amendmant and I can not stand companies that practice that. How do they get away with it?

I'm looking seriously at both of them. I meet the qualifications and requirements. I'm just trying to weigh the benefits of both and see where I'd fit in the best. Any insight would be much appreciated.

Like under martial law? I had a very wise person tell me this, and he says, "You don't put out the forest fire, you prevent it......" What did he mean? What does this mean to the average US citizen who doesn't have any political ties?
