earlier tonight me and my girlfreind were parked facing out of this long gravel driveway the leads to a house thats being built. well tonight while we were doing our thing some guy pulls in the driveway, blocking me, and is like "this is private property, im the home owner" so i was like ok ill leave, and then he said "im getting your tag and calling the cops. so i left, only to realize he followed me. so i kinda had to speed and run a red light to get him off me, cause, honestly i thought he was gunna hurt us, the "chase" lastesd like freaking 15 minutes....my question is... can he really do something to me? i mean, i didnt mess with anything on his property, didnt give him problems about leaving, and wasnt even close to his house...sorry this is long just kinda freaking out right now

Don't worry yourself Andrew.
That guy had no right to do anything to you.
Was there a sign that said private property? And also you were in the car with your gf... having a private moment, like your going to do any vandalism....yea right.
You decided to leave the property, which is being polite, and yet he proceeded to chase you. You also had the fact that you were in fear that he would cause harm to you from him chasing you. I would not have pulled you over for the red light if you would have told me the truth just so you know, but you'd have to back up your story and give details a little.
If anybody did anything wrong IT WAS HIM, and no the cops can not do anything about it. I wouldn't do anything about it. If I could I'd tell that one guy he is an A-Hole.
Before I finish off, find a new place to park. And to those of you who said "Get a room" ok whos going to give room keys to a couple of young kids? (If they are young) They would probably suspect something and call officers to check it out, and I don't think that would be to pleasant. But if your 18 or over, and you have ID... then yea you may want to get a room... or sit in the car and do your business for FREE.

You better hope there was no vandalism or theft from that site, or you will be charged. You would have a hard time proving that you didn't break the window that was smashed out, or steal the missing shingles, and were now back for more. You are the trespasser of record. You probably should have apologized, and said "yes, sir, sorry sir" when he said he was taking your plate number, and told him your name. You don't have to post a construction site as private property to have people charged with theft or malicious damage.
I probably wouldn't have bothered talking to you, I would have stayed out of sight and had the cops catch you on the property. If an inspection of the property showed no problems, I would have had you warned and released. Any vandalism or theft and you would have been arrested. Theft from construction is a very prevalent and costly problem, with wood, shingles, siding, flooring, bathroom fixtures, kitchen cabinets, and you name it it gets stolen. It adds thousands of dollars to the cost of the average new home, each and every year.

The same thing that applies in CA applies in TN. I actually had a guy ON MY FRONT PORCH for several minutes, never knocked or rang the doorbell, and just left. Called to cops and they said the same thing -- it's not posted private property. So I asked if I could shoot him if he came back....
If the guy in your sitch realizes that and puts up a sign, it will still be his word against yours, but as far as you running red lights etc, he may not have a leg to stand on because, once again, it's just his word against yours. Unless the cops actually witnessed it, they won't pursue it.
In agreement with Eric, get a room for crying out loud! That's just tacky.

The home owner have suspected of things that came from his mind at the mement he have seen you infront of the building site, so that he acted immediately by gettinmg your identity and to call for assitance to the police.
You should have not immediately speed out to be cleared of any suspicion and because of what you did, he chased for security reasons. You have to explain these matters or things to the authorities.
It is but natural for a person to suspect things that may arise because you are stranger to him.

The man should have called the police right away and given them your license plate number and the direction you were traveling. And then gone into his driveway.
If I was you I would have called the police on him as he was following you.

In CA....No. He can do nothing to you. He can report you're speeding and red light violations until he's blue in the face.
You being in his driveway is not an issue. If its not posted, you did nothing wrong.
Just explain it, calmly, to the cops if they contact you about it.
BTW...get a room.

No problems, I wouldn't worry about it and if he did succeed I'd just tell the Judge what you told us, Hell he was young once too.
And I'd bet he did some parking as well.
Dude's just jealous because he can't get any.
