My husband was sentenced to a 15 year term. He only has to do 15% of that time. But I hired an attorney who said he could get him paroled sooner. It has been a year and a half and he has done nothing. Everytime I talk to him he promises something will be done "next week", and obviously nothing does! I don't know what to do. I am afraid if I file a complaint with the Bar, that he won't try as hard to get him out. He is a very good attorney, and I want him to just do what he told me he can do. Any suggestions? Please, no husband bashing, really, I could do without. Thanks in advance.

The new signs that detect and post your speed and flash if you're speeding; do they collect the number of cars, speeders, non-speeders, time of day, etc?? Take pics?

I would think this would be very worthwhile info.

I live in the country, and an aircraft buzzed my house quite a few times, eventually scaring my horses and livestock. I don't know why or who it was. I got my binoculars and recorded the number off the side of the plane.

I would like to have a discussion with the owner and/or pilot of the plane. What should I do to find out who I need to contact.

Are there laws pertaining to something like this?

LOS ANGELES - Federal agents raided 10 marijuana clinics Wednesday, the same day city leaders introduced a measure calling for an end to the crackdown on the dispensaries allowed under state law

Keeping in mind that California voters approved medical marijuana sales in 1996. The drug remains illegal under federal law.

I think state rights are being trampled on...and again I think Federal Agents have better things to do...like maybe track and capture terrorists?

Hello?

sigh.

Over the 4th of July, I was at an amusement park. I had a very nice expensive phone in my pocket.

My mom convinced me not to take my purse (I shouldn't of listened to her!) but I ended up losing it at some point.

We called the phone all night. When the park was closing (Around 10 pm) I went to lost and found and put down my information.

We called the phone one last time, but realized that it was going straight to voice mail, this time.

So, obviously, someone had it and turned it off.

The next day, my mom received a text message on her phone (From my phone) with a number on it.

I called it and proceeded to talk to a lady....She claimed her kids had found it and she didn't realize they had it, until that day.

"I'm trying to do the right thing. I do have cingular, so I could have easily put my Sim card in it."

I thanked her for being honest.

She then asks about a finder's fee, which kind of caught me off guard.

I asked her what she thought was fair....

If the fire is raging, why not just set a couple of hoses shooting rooster tails between the houses to protect them and let the house burn to ashes so the cleanup is easier?

He's 17 and a tender soul who has taken our local police academy youth camp and the "graduation" is a delightful choice of pepper spray or pepper foam.

I know, sounds barbaric. As his nervous mom, I am not thrilled with this, but as he picked the lock on the shakel I used to chain him to his bed I am over ruled.

He gets to choose so which do you think? I have already given him baby shampoo (our friend who is a cop said it can help) and a hose will be available.

Call me a wimp but I can't wait for tomorrow to be over with--his dad isn't too thrilled either.

Any experience with this, what can you tell me?

Thanks so much for your answers!

What's the point in someone who has means to defend themself endangering their own lives and possibly the lives of others in the case where there are others present, sitting around with their thumb up their ar$e waiting half an hour or more for the police to get to the scene?

If people were able to take the law into their own hands several people might still be alive today instead of waiting around for police to come.

I got a speeding ticket for going 84 in a 55mph zone. The State trooper gave me the ticket and had me sign something about an I-Bond and 7 days to pay by mail. I'm confused as to what I'm supposed to do. What is an I-Bond? Do I pay right at the Sherriff's office ASAP? The back of the ticket says I can't pay for 10 days. What's going on?
