He had ample time to pay his fine before being sent to jail. Watch a few "Judge Judy" or "People's Court" episodes to find out what kind of guys let girls pay their fines. Paying his fine will only encourage his irresponsible behavior and prevent him from growing up. That's what is wrong with him now, people protecting him from the consequences of his own actions.
Yes, you can waste your money and get him out. Actions have consequences and if you don't let him pay his consequences, you will end up paying some consequences of your own. Let him grow up.

Probably not, because even when he gets out of jail he will still have to repay that fine anyways in most cases at least. I'm of course assuming he went to jail for not paying a fine right? If he went to jail for other reasons then it might make things come out differently, like he would have to do community service or something like that instead or paying a fine.

You have no obligation to do anything. You are not married. Why would you want to assume a part of your boyfriends bad behavior? I would suggest you take the money, move him out, and find a new guy. It is NOT ok to have your boyfriend in jail. WHat happens when you get married? Is it prison time then?

Yes if you pay the fine on his behalf, he will be released. Just make sure that all the fines he owes are paid and there are no outstanding ones because you might be paying for nothing and he will remain in custody. Good luck..you must love him a lot.
