Curfew laws are valid exercise of the police power of the state to protect the minors just like you.

Here in UK there are no curfew laws as such. However, badly behaved teens can have a curfew placed upon them. In most cases this is simply ignored.

There is I think a curfew law in Germany which means that kids under 16 or 18 [not sure which] have to be home by 9.30pm or 10pm.

You did not say where you live or which country.

This is the UK section of Yahoo Answers - but anyone can come on here, just need to know where from with a question like yours.

Curfews sound like a great idea to me. We should have them in the UK. It would certainly stop a lot of trouble with some of the gobby little sh**s that I have to deal with on a daily basis. It would stop a lot of the yob culture as well as most of them are under 21.

At least then the civilised people in the country could go about their business without fear of intimidation.

Where is this? There isnt a place in the UK that has a curfew that I know of.
It all depends on what the local kids are like in general though. If lots of them cause trouble then what do you expect.

It's just a way to keep teens out of trouble. Why did you go out past curfew? Just obey the rules until you're 18; you'll grow up soon enough.

they don't bother me since i am 21 but even back when i was young enough to be affected by curfew, i didn't care because all of the surrounding towns did not have curfew. So, unless you live in a town that is isolated from its neighbors, it really shouldn't be a big concern.

Although, i have no problem with young people being kept off the streets and out of the movie theaters at night. They just have to be loud, don't they?

I am shocked it was enforced! I think that "city curfews" sound good at election time and that's it, when I worked in gas stations I could NEVER get a cop to come and get the brats to get out!

I think in the near future the adults will also live with a curfew.

If you can't be out past curfew, does that mean your parents are helping you ask these silly questions?

have you watched the news latley? a girl was abducted on the 4th of july just outside of her house with her father not too far away.

Those laws are there to protect you not hurt you. obey them and you will grow up to be old enough for them not to affect you.
