I was recently diagnosed with an odd infection whose origins niether I or the doctors have been able to trace.

I DO HAVE THAT PEANUT BUTTER WITH THE CODE 2111 ON IT AND I DID EAT IT BEFORE I BECAME SICK.

This disease may be CHRONIC...I might have to deal with this crap for the rest of my life and I am so angry and depressed by it, and to know that some irresponsible company released this junk on me is just too much.

So if anyone is bringing about a class action lawsuit that I can join or that maybe I should start, please let me know.

I have a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice, and over 10 years experience in Finance. I'm having trouble finding a job in the criminal justice field because I don't want to be a police officer and I don't want to be a corrections officer. Any suggestions? I'm starting to feel like I'll be miserable the rest of my life if I continue to stay in Finance and not pursue my real dream of pursuing what I went to school for!!

I mean, there really is no excuse to endanger the lives of others. You could argue in traffic court if you had a medical emergency, provided you bring documented proof, but for most people, $1000 minimum fine will be enough to discourage running red lights and speeding.

A police officer was harrassing my 15 year old son after he was involved in an altercation at school. He was going to force my son to sign a ticket for fighting at school. I was not there yet and he told my son that he was going to put him in cuffs and carry his a** to the courthouse and then to TYC. He proceeded to tell him that in Texas 12 rednecks would not believe him over the other person. Our son has not been in trouble before and was defending himself and pushed the person off of him. The vice principle denied him medical help and let this officer verbally abuse our son. What can we do?!

Why do cities have laws that prevent bicycles from riding on the sidewalk, yet provide no bike lanes? Riding as close to the curb as possible, in the gutter, is about all that's available with cars zipping by inches away.

every car chase you see 15 police cars following as long as a few hours. i know all about the spikes and counter measures. look a all the manpower and cost being wasted on real policework. at the first opportunity ,they should ram the vehicle , once they are on local streets. . the police should bear no responible, once they ram the vehilce.the driver should go to jail for minium 3yr NPand pay damages. the longer the chase the more danger for the public.

Recently, a California website ran an e-mail forum (a question and answer exchange) where the topic was
"Policing the Community."
One of the civilian email participants posed the
following question:
"I would like to know how it is possible for police officers to continually harass people and get away with it?"
From the "other side" (the law enforcement side) a cool cop with a sense of humor replied: "It is not easy. In California we average one cop for every 2,000 people. About 60% of those cops are on patrol, where we do most of the harassing. One-fifth of that 60% are on duty at any given moment and are available for harassing people. So, one cop is responsible for harassing about 10,000 residents. When you toss in the commercial, business and tourist locations that
attract people from other areas, sometimes you have a situation where a single cop is responsible for harassing 20,000 or more people each day.
A ten-hour shift runs 36,000 seconds. This gives a cop one second to harass a person, and three-fourths of a second to eat a donut AND then find a new person to harass. This is not an easy task. Most cops are not up to it, day in and day out. It is just too tiring.
What we do is utilize some tools.
They are as follows:
PHONE: People will call us up and point out things that cause us to focus on a person for special harassment. "My neighbor is beating his wife" is a code phrase we use. Then we come out and give special harassment.
Another popular one on a weeknight is, "The kids next door are having a loud party."
CARS: We have special cops assigned to harass people who drive. They like to harass the drivers of fast cars, cars blasting music, cars with expired registration stickers and the like. It is lots of fun when you pick them out of traffic for nothing more obvious than running a red light. Sometimes you get to really heap the harassment on when you find they have drugs in the car, are driving drunk, or they have an outstanding warrant.
RUNNERS: Some people take off running just at the
sight of a police officer. Nothing is quite as
satisfying as running after them like a beagle on the scent of a bunny. When you catch them you can harass them for hours.
LAWS: When you can think of nothing else to do, there are books that give ideas for reasons to harass folks. They are called "Laws" -Penal, Vehicle, Health and Safety, Business and Professional Laws, to name just a few. They spell out all sorts of things for which you can
really mess with people. After you read the law, you can just drive around for a while until you find someone violating one of these listed offenses and harass them. Just last week I saw a guy smash a car window. Well, the law says that is not allowed. That meant I got permission to harass this guy.
It is a pretty cool system that we have set up, and it works pretty well. We seem to have a never ending supply of folks to harass. And we get away with it.
Why?
Because the good citizens who pay the tab actually like the fact that we keep the streets safe for them.
Next time you are in my town, give me a single finger wave.
That will be a signal that you wish for me to take a little closer look at you, and then maybe I'll find a reason to harass YOU!
Looking forward to meeting you.

I have noticed traffic police in USA and Japan being very respectful to the vehicle owners.

But in India they seem to hate which is evident in the way they speak and impose fine for trivial cause.

I think this attitude will hinder tourism and investments in the region.

How to fix this problem?

I see a list of offense codes but most say felony or misdemeanor but this is blank. Also what does the free text part mean. My brother-in-law has several charges and we are trying to understand what they mean. I am assuming this is worse than an offense code with a felony/misdemeanor annotation.

I had a traffice accident in the morning. Road was very slippery due to heavy snow from last night (All school and goverment center was closed today). I was driving hwy (25~30mph) with caution . But my car suddenly started to spinning and even I try to stop I couldn't . I think there was ice on the road. Anyway, while my car was spinning, the car coming from behind hit my car then my car stopped and end up to the snow bank. Another driver was OK and her car wasn't damaged that much. and then about 30 minutes later State police came and I reported exactly what happened to him. After 10 minutes later he came to me and gave me citation which is Reckless driving-Failure to maintain control. I think it's really unfair that police gave me that citation. I did lose the control but I did my best under my power to drive safe. I can accpet citation but it wasn't reckless driving. Is there any hope that Judge dismiss my citation? Should I get a lawyer? I'm very worried and angry with that police

When you dont buy a ticket on the train and you get caught you pay a penalty fare (approx £20) but if you get a caution, what does that mean? Does it mean you have to go to court? bigger fine? can someone explain?
