I have noticed traffic police in USA and Japan being very respectful to the vehicle owners.

But in India they seem to hate which is evident in the way they speak and impose fine for trivial cause.

I think this attitude will hinder tourism and investments in the region.

How to fix this problem?

I know that the traffic police in India hate people because in India the people do not listen or abide to the laws layed down by the law and due to which there are accidents taking place and the traffic police is blamed for accident and so they are able to do there duty and so they get annoyed and do not respect the people in India.

1. The of number of policeman per 1000 citizen is very less as compared to the countries mentioned. The staff is very over worked.
2. The general attitude of public is also to be blamed for the chaos created on road by not following traffic rules.

NGOs and private organizations should take over this responsibility to support the load on traffic police. They are physically the hardest pressed even though we have highest number of unemployed Graduates and Under Graduates !

I think unless India reaches a top 10 nation in Human Development Index the problem will persist.

There are to many people on the street not allowing drivers to make speed. So police can not catch speedy drivers to get some tip from them.

i belive in teaching makes a lot of differenece and the training should be given to the department,that the hospitality,good attitude and more over by giving them more facilities like the military systems..like food packages,product discounted prizes after all they too are humanbeings....

All the Traffic police is not bad.
But they are not good because
They have too much work and they are not paid well. They are not well educated and they have not attended any etiquette classes.

The politician does not want ro reform or increase the police force because majorityof them are criminals. So long as police is not trained they will remain what they are now.It suits our politicians.

pay them well.poor people, they have to stand for hrs together amdist all the noise&smoke pollution,and they dont get pd well.imagine ur self in their palce.they have to face people of different temperments,its not a easy job and they loose their cool sometimes,after all they r humans too.u just cant conclude that they hate people.
