Highly unlikely - they are looking for Sexual Offenders, Convicted Drink Drivers and people that are considered a menace/risk to society.

If the offence was one of supplying drugs and a bit more recent, you could find yourself in a bit of a quandry....but not possession of a bit of blow thats 18 years past.

i doubt it will hinder you if that is your only offence and you can show you are a reformed character, the checks will make sure you have no driving offences etc and if you hold a current driving licence etc which I think they will be more concerned about
