My boyfriend and I got into a domestic dispute and it ended very poorly. He ended up losing it and hitting me. Earlier he had wanted to have sex and I didnt, but let him penetrate. When it got to the point that he was hitting me i tried leaving the house and he wouldnt let me. He is being charged with Sexual Assault/battery on a pregnant woman and false imprisonment. I was told that he could be facing life in prison.
As a result I want to get him out and I want to drop the charges but according to the detective the state wont let me. I was informed that I have the right to not prosecute but I need a way to try to get this over with so I wanted to know what the penalties were for stating that I filed a false police report.

I believe the person that lived there before me had a Handicap sign placed in front of the apartment for her use. The problem is there is no parking, and there isn't anyone in the vicinity that is Handicapped and could make use of the spot.

I think the answer is no. Even though I think the officers were justified because Rodney King was resisting I think Notch would have been able to get the out of control King under control with one of his moves.

Hi,

I recently received a ticket for running a stop sign. The address is written on the ticket as "2500 Lincoln Ave" near "Rotary Park". I was pulled over in Rotary Park.

There is no stop sign at 25th and Lincoln Ave.

Is this a valid defense?

My husband works for a store, "supposedly" there was alot of merchandise stolen, he was called by the troopers for questioning, he is innocent (I'm sure I would have noticed the merchandise or the money) my question is can the troopers make him take a lie detector test? He's nervous about everything. IF they had any proof they would have arrested him already right? Are they just fishing to get someone to take the blame?

Accord to this incident: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Akex2HwpticTEytbvEsyCJPsy6IX?qid=20070216083217AACYxp2

It has really make me seriously consider my safety. I've been around firearms a lot (being in ROTC, have lot of military friends, and other things) I'm extremely accurate and good with small firearms and shotgun. I'm far from trigger happy. So I'm starting to think I should be looking into get a firearm for in case something happen again.

I've been thinking about a 16 or12 gague shotgun since pellets doesn't go through the wall (my guess...) or something along 9 mm or .32 ACP since those are easier to aim with and have some stopping power.

I've had stranger walk into my house once (a friend of friend who I don't know) and I approach her but didn't hurt her at all eventhough I'm a Muay Thai fighter. So this basically show that I won't go crazy and shoot everything that move in the house.

So would firearm be good for me or not?

He found this dumb police scanner while he was dumpster diving weeks ago, now all he does is listen to it.

He thinks the cops don't respond quickly enough to the calls, and that he could do better.

He is also obsessed with Superheros like Batman and Spiderman.

He's getting really whacked out, and was even more inspired when he saw this story on the news:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,2521...

I'm really worried he will put on a mask & take to the streets himself any day now.

What would happen if he got caught?

He's 30 years old, lives a stable life, no history of psychiatric illness, what is going on here?

What should I do?

My brother was murdered on Feb. 2, 2007. The accused resides in City of Milwaukee, County of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The accused has several felonies, this from my understanding will be his third.

The accused has murdered before. He spent time for this crime, was let out and did what he knows best...(allegedly).

His charges are thus: "Felon with possession of firearm", and "Reckless Homocide with Firearm, First Degree".

What are the levels of homocide? What would he possible sentence be? All we care about is that he stays in jail til he dies (he's 37).

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.
