Im doing a esay on this topic and i am standing for making the the laws on how drunk drives are prosecuted harder on the people that are prosecuted. Anyone want to fight about this to give me some more info?

The law should not be harder on someone being prosecuted in any law. It should be harder on those convicted.

Most people have drunk and driven at some point, most people never get caught. the problem is that some people can do it safley and others cannot, and they crash and kill people.
I think an automatic 1 month in prison and no ban would be better than a 12 month ban. Most people need to drive to work. any sentence longer than 6 months defeats the deterrent as one becomes institutionalised.

Just Like it is now....ZERO Tolerance! You drink, you drive, you get caught, you go to jail, no second chances. The victims and family members of those Drunk Drivers never get a second chance to have their lives back before the incident (mentally or physically, or both) so why should the no moral Drunken Driver get a second chance to do it again. No excuses!

They should be arrested, fined, and sent to jail. Anyone who is dumb enough to get drunk and then drive should get punished so hard they won't even think of doing it again.

If they would ENFORCE the laws that are already on the books, we would see a vast improvement! Oh, and the law shouldn't be for sale.

followed by the immediate removal of the person's
