It can not be construed. But certainly, the society is heading nowhere and should be checked so as to arrest the occurrence of such instances.
It needs an analysis so as to ascertain the factors responsible for such acts. As a matter of fact there would be stray instances in any society, be it Britain or USA.

14-year old boys have been committing murder since the dawn of man. I am a historian, and I've seen dozens and dozens of stories going back to the middle ages in many different cultures where boys have killed. One good example occurred somewhat frequently in the middle ages and early-modern periods. Gangs of young boys used to get involved in bread riots and religious rebellions, wandering the cities and countryside, murdering people they suspected as being the enemy. They often mimicked what they heard about happening amongst the adults. And people now think television causes violence! Hardly.

There is this tendancy for people to imagine this "golden age" in the past where everything was right, but guess what? That "golden age" never existed in the first place. It just seems that way to you because the problems of the world are dangled in your face every day on the telly and internet.

In addition to this, you are ignoring the millions of boys that do NOT commit murder. What about them? It is not a fair statement to cherry-pick one problem in your society and try to discredit all of society based on that one problem. There are bad things, but they do not necessarily cancel out the good things. That is not to argue necessarily that Britain is not a broken society, but you need a lot more evidence than this! Even then, there will be countless examples that counter your claim.

Yes all world society has been broken since day one. We fansasies about how great the past was. "Why in my dad murder has never been invented and we left our money on the gate and passers by never thought of stealing it". This never happened.
There has always been murders. There are records of child murderers dating back to the Romans and Ancient Greeks. Just because we have better communications networks so we hear about every single murder in the whole nation of over 60 million people does not mean that every single person is a murderer.

The problem is that we all fixate on any crime anywhere in the world and use it as an excuse to fear and hate people who are different to us. Because we think society is breaking down we act as if it already has and this makes society break down.

By thinking badly about everyone we meet we destroy the commuities we live in through our own attitudes of fear and hatred that the newspapers force us to believe. Good news does not sell papers.

Anyway that is my opinion. Things are getting worse because we fixate on how bad they are getting. Unless the world magically transforms to a eutopia then this attitude of seeing the worst in each other will continue.

Personally I will refuse to give in to this tide of hatred and xenophobia. I refuse to believe that 50 years ago Britain was perfect and black people, Jews, Poles and young people have destroyed this nation. If we all tried to be friends with each and every person in our neighbourhood then there would be no crime.

The pension fund is in subject, no longer because of the fact we live longer yet because of the multitude of immigrants who're by ability of now sufficiently old to take excitement in some super advantages of state pension - even nevertheless they might have lived right here for some years drawing advantages of all varieties - yet have by no ability positioned a penny lower back into the device. I paid my dues for 40 5 years or so and deserve each pound of my state pension - possibly that is no longer the oldies we could continually be 'bumping off' ! devoid of us the device would have collapsed years in the past. an identical argument applies for the nationwide well-being provider.

I would definitely say so. These shootings are shocking but when you dig deeper it is always drug and gang related. Silly little boys thinking they are puff daddy and 50 cents. Life has no value for them - you dis them, you pay with your life. I expect the do-gooders will tell you otherwise but I am afraid that that is the - it is they who have no respect. Also being so young, they know full well that they are above the law and so will continue to blow each others brains out. The pictures with some of these gangs holding their guns says it all.

Look no further than Blair and his failed multi cultural society. It doesnt work and in this case you are looking at an Angolan whose culture is nowhere near the UK. Every time I turn on my TV and violent crime is reported the faces are about 80% not white. Britain is on a road to disaster with its immigration Policy and we can expect more and more of this as minority Groups have more say in the running of the Country than ordinary Brits.

Nope, it just means it took Britain longer to get to the point where America has been for a while. The youth of today are not disciplined enough whole growing up. They need their butt tanned for their little indisgressions and make it worse for every time after that.

It is illegal to carry a gun, why are they not being taken to task about this. More money into policing, more police on the beat.
More SUPPORT for the police. They are representing US and our society, they are someones son, father. brother, husband, they are not SUPERMAN, we as a society should help support them, so they can sort our society out.

As far as I can make out from birth upwards, children are learning, there is NO CONSEQUENCES what so ever, they can be naughty - Parents cannot touch them. Teachers cannot punish them, the police are told to back off, I will get my BRIEF!!!

For heavens sake, we need to take action PDQ or no one living here in England will be safe. We are bringing up a generation of confused children filled with hatred. We ALL need to take action, and responsibility as parents, grandparents, teachers etc and STOP blaming on the government, its not THEIR job!!!!

Every country has problems. I blame the Human rights rules that have made it too easy to be a criminal.Kids know that nothing is going to happen to them so they don't care.
When I was growing up we respected our elders and the Police.
I was clipped round the ear for spitting by a policeman, he would be sued for assault now.
However No we are not a broken society.
