Alright, I was driving to the bank the other day and a cop stared talegating me when i was only going 3 over, i didnt care i had cruse control on and maintained. A second later he passes me in the right lane going about 10 over the speed limit, he decided to cut back into my lane and crossed the thick white line (that you arnt supposed to cross) into the newly formed left turn lane. he ended up about 4th in line ( right where he would have been if he didnt do all of that). Anyway, I then decided to glare at him for the breif moment that i went by, as i would do to anyone who drove like that. I ended up being stoped frist at the light going straight, he decided that he would flip on his lights then and pull me over and asked for licence and all the ussual stuff, then he lectured me on why i shouldn't do that. Example : "he could be going to a burglary and be in a hurry". Alright , now to the point. Can he do this? does he have to have a valid reason to pull me over? Should i report him?

I'm pretty sure I have a warrant for failure to appear for a minor traffic violation (I think one of my stickers were out) This was in the town my mother lives in (Humble) I live in another town (Katy, these are both outside of Houston, by the way) Will these show up when I go to get my drivers license? If they do, will I be arrested on the spot or will I be given an oppurtunity to pay? I have every intention to pay, renewing my license just takes priority right now. I will, however, be more than willing to pay them if they show up.

lets pretend that my license is suspended. lets also pretend im still driving. what would be the pretend chances of me getting caught?

not that im worried or paranoid, because this is only hypothetical, but would the cops in my pretend question be, like, watching me or something. i am not paranoid. because this is pretend. i think i've given myself away now. well just answer the question thanks. =)

The first Sheriff I met was absolutely great t both inside and personality wise as a person. I actually started falling for him but I did the right thing and walked out on him because it wasn't going to get anywhere since he never asked for my number and he lives too far away. I'm in california. But I haven't been on many dates and only have ever had 1 bf a long time ago. I'm 23 now. So any available men out there that want to chat I'd be happy to here from you? ;)

Anybody that knows or been through an interview like this..

I had an interview today for a police officer position. I am an auxiliary officer with this department and have been for 4 years, know most of the guys, higher ups, etc. Today was the interview for a full time position. The interview went well, however a few times, the police chief mentioned things like, "if you don't get it this time, we're going to be hiring a lot next year.." and "don't get discouraged, your application will remain on file for a year" He mentioned that a few times. He asked about 5 questions about me.

When he said that I started to get worried.. I go to all the training, calls, etc.. however, when they mention things like that, is that a bad sign? Or do they tell that to everbody? I know people on the department and I am sure my lieutenant on the department will put a word in for me?

The transit vehicle taking you to prison crashes and rolls over, leaving the guards very dazed (but ok) on the floor, but you aren't injured. The vehicles doors have opened with impact and the guard's keys are within easy reach on his belt.

Would you escape and take your chances as a wanted fugative, or wait to for the follow up authorities to continue to take you to prison and hope the justice system comes good on your case in the future ?

I have had a couple of recent separate incidences of paint patches (blue) being daubed on the front garden wall and lawn of my house.
I heard somewhere that this may be a mark or sign made by burglar 'scouts' to other potential burglars passing by that this may be a property worth breaking in to when they get the chance.
Is this a common practice that anyone knows of? If so, is there anything that can be done apart from just removing the paint? (e.g. a similar 'code' which warns them off).

Hey. I want to know when owning the parts for a firearm become owning a firearm. Say if ordered a supressor and had it delivered, would that be breaking uk law. What if I had half the rifle in France and half in England would that be legal, or could I get charged with possession of a firearm?

From 1st July, a smoking ban will be implemented in England, to ban all smoking in pubs.Thousands of Council workers will be trained and employed, at a cost of millions, to go into pubs undercover and fine anybody found lighting up.

The law was applied in Scotland without any major problems. Trade is now booming, will it work here?

70% of the country don't smoke, 30% do. Should non - smokers be exposed to smoke?
Will there be trouble in pubs if smokers are told to stub out their cigarrette?
Should smokers be forced to smoke outside of all public places or is that unfair?
Should the Government outlaw cigarrettes completely?
Will landlords go out of business?

Were the people that did it caught?
My house was broken into a few years ago and the deputy that investigated saw a footprint outside the broken window and said,
"there's the footprint, I think we know who did this."
Yea, me too...somebody with feet.
No arrests were made.
No disrespect to law enforcement...I appreciate the job you do...just thought it was amusing.

I'm not ungrateful, there's just this one guy I hate.

This guy called, I recognized his voice (that's how often he calls me) and asked to speak to me. I asked, "May I ask who's calling?" He gave me the name of his charity. I said "She's not available." He got all pissy and said "Why can't I speak to her?!?!?" And I said, "She's not available" and then he said, "Fine, I'll just try back in 10 minutes and see if you let me speak to her then."

I decided to break down and tell him not to call anymore. So, when he called back (actually about 2 hours later) I answered the phone and acknowledged I am the person he’s looking for. He wouldn't let me get word in. Instead of suggesting how much to donate he TOLD me he was going to send a pledge envelope for $75. I said I couldn't donate.

Then, as I was telling him not to call me anymore, he talked over me and said they'd send an envelope for "my usual pledge" and then hung up as I was talking!

So I got the ticket for going 51 in a 40 mph zone. It is an infraction, not a misdemeanor, so I believe that I am not required to go to court, unless I wanted to contest it. However, this happened about a month ago, and I still have not recieved anything from them regarding how much I should pay, nor traffic school options. Basically, I have not gotten anything from anyone. On the citation, it gives me a court date, but it has passed. There is no monetary amount given....Does anyone know what I should do? I looked it up on the court's website, but it says that it is not recorded there yet. I'm almost certain I wasn't required to appear in court because it's not a misdemeanor, but I am not sure now. Thanks for the help!

My friends boyfriend was on probation for DUI or DWI...not sure which. He is on driving restriction other then going to and from work until 2009 and is on probation. Recently my friend rented a car in her name, then he used the car to drive to another town. Along the way he was caught speeding. She talked the cop out of arresting him when she went to pick up the car, however his insurance is dropping him, they are having to sell his truck and are concerned now when he goes to court if he will go to jail or have his driving privideges taken away for life.

I would like anyones advice as to how to help them, and if you have seen this situation happen before what happened. She is very worried he will never drive again as they have a daughter together and she is very busy.
