You remember back in grade school when your teacher said "this will go on your permanent record"

Well, this will stay on a permanent record, unless there was some sort of deal in place with a plea to have it sealed after a certain amount of time, in which case you or whoever would not be asking about this. That being said, there will always be a record of it, and there will always be an agency with access to that record.

So, someone needs to get used to the idea that their actions have left them with a permanent record of their poor judgement and loss of control.

Anything on your criminal record stays on it forever. The only people who might be able to get it sealed or expunged are juveniles, and even then it depends on the seriousness.

Never if you're an adult and depending on the degree of the assault, like if it was sexual you should have to register as a state sex offender. Quit trying to get a rise out of people
