NOPE, and for what reason would you ban them. While they "glorify" law enforcement, they are dramas/comedies, what have you. They are works of fiction. But the job of law enforcement is a tough job. These men and women don't choose their profession based on pay, and not all of them (a majority) aren't cops because dad and grandpa were cops. Most of them have chosen a career that they feel will help their community, help the youth of the community and make it a safer place to sleep at night. What is wrong with glorifying them. There is a minority in law enforcement that does the wrong thing, and that is what we hear about, we don't hear about the men and women who are out there every day doing the right thing, putting themselves out there for other.

I say YES GLORIFY AND RESPECT THE GOOD ONES AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

Keep the Law & Order's, the CSI's, NCIS, and things like that.

All TV programming should be banned if law enforcement is banned. Having a veteran law enforcement officer in our family, I do not think that this is glorifying them. They live that every day on the streets to serve and protect us.

One Adam 12...see the man...citizen complaint.

I'd say let the T.V. programs continue to be shown if there is an audience for it. But I would ban news organizations from doing all these hero stories all the time.

There was a segment on T.V. this morning (Matt Lauer-Meredith Vierra) about a fireman-hero, iraq war-hero from boston, who saved a baby (that was good), but why emphasize all this hero worship on the news?

Save all that hero stuff for Dragnet and The Streets of San Francisco and keep it off the news.

The worst thing was, the so-called hero, kept saying he wasn't really a hero and that he didn't like the attention! He said he had a twin brother and that next time they came looking at him for a hero that he was going to say it was his brother.

The news forced it on him and us.

No...
I don't think anything should be banned in honesty, maybe watershed on the extreme things, but we have the right to watch what we want...
If law enforcement is on TV then so what, at least it gives some people some comfort.

I Loooooove a Clockwork Orange !!! i replaced into born in '89, so its no longer about the age of the movie, yet more desirable with the intention to Im a real fan of Horror. That action picture is only so old and strange, and there is a area I nevertheless cant piece at the same time to today. Like why did the murderers gown in white tights for one.

No, I don't think they should be banned. Problem with those Films/TV is that people can't learn to separate fact and fiction so they think that the real Police should be as perfect as those they see on the screen.....It's tough to live up to Hollywood.

what do you mean by glorify? Shows like Cops show what really happens out there. There's no glory behind what cops see and have to deal with everyday. Movies sometimes do that only for movie pruposes. If movies actually followed a cops job to the T, it would be hours and hours of running radar and filling out paper work.

Not at all - the more the general decent members of public that get to see what we have to put up with day in, day out, the better. They might then understand our roles a little better.
