As far as I know, you'll be called into court at a specific date. You'll either be asked to serve on a case, or be kept waiting. There are usually around 16 jurors, from which 12 are selected and the others are kept pending for another trial. That's the irritating bit - but watching a trial might be pretty interesting.

It means that it is likely you will be called sometime in the next 90 days. You will receive a postcard with the info on it. You do get paid a small amount to show up when they ask you to.

Your question answers itself. Send in the letter and you will be on the call list for 30 days. If you are needed you will be notified by the court.

If it has a date to show up downtown, then show up on that date downtown. If there is a phone number to call, call that number the night before you are expected to show up to make sure if you are actually needed.
I was called up one day in North Carolina. I showed up, but they didn't need me for jury duty. I got a humble thank-you check a few weeks later.

In NJ if you get a summons for jury duty-you go to the court house. Sometimes they may give you a phione number to call to see if your number is called for duty.

They might send another letter giving you the details. But I'd probably ignore it unless it had dates and times on it. Who, knows it might be fun? Good luck!
