I am buying a handgun for my own protection, and I was wondering if there are any good ways to secure it while keeping it readily (or moderately) accessible. I was considering keeping the gun in my nightstand but locking up the ammo and magazines.

hi there, if one is a qualified Martial Artist Instructor, whom is fully qualified, insured and liable for upto £5 million for any damage caused to his/her pupils within the dojo. Is nationally recognised by the government - does he/she need to carry additional licence to carry a weapon (which is concealed at all times from the members of public) to-and from the dojo (class) by means of public transport (the weapons are used soley as a prop in self defence techniques) or does this licence to teach the Martial Art in question cover this? (The Martial Art in question does expressly state that weapons are apart of the class) I'm asking in concern to the stop and searh powers of police, as i realise if one was in such a situation then one would have rather a hard time explaining one self!

Please Note: The Martial Art's Instructor ALWAYS carries their Instructors licence around with them, whether or not teaching or practiceing.

Thank You very much in advance

3 minors broke into a house. Ages 16,17,17. Stole over $3000 worth of personal property. They got arrested a week later, taken to jail and are now out on bail until their day in court. What should be done to them? How would you dicipline these kids? Only one has a prior record, not for burglary. Please think about it and answer. Thanks.

Hi
We're in a bit of a bad situation. We live in a flat above a corner shop [for just over two years]. The door on the shop below continually slams shut each time a person enters or exits the premises. Each slam reverberates through our flat and shakes the window. We can't sit in our loungeroom - even to have dinner as the noise is so bad.

We have spoken with every person who works in the shop to try to do something & have been met with resistance every time. The won't do anything about it nor will they give us the name or number of the owners/lease holders so we could contact them directly.

We have phoned the police who made a visit & asked them to sort this out - which they did for a day - then the slamming started again. The shop is open from 06.30 - 8.00pm & the door slams about 5 times a minute!

The police have said it's not their matter & can't help us any more

We're at wits end :-(
Advice greatly appreciated. Sorry for long winded story but what else can we do?

A man convicted of gunning down two law enforcement officers during a dispute about his family's land was sentenced to death Wednesday a little more than an hour after jurors began deliberating.

Steven Bixby, 39, showed no reaction as he was condemned for the murders of sheriff's Sgt. Danny Wilson and State Constable Donnie Ouzts.

Bixby and his parents were upset that the state wanted a 20-foot strip of land near their home to widen a highway. Authorities said he and his father, who also is charged with murder, threatened to attack any officer who set foot on their property.

Wilson was shot on Dec. 8, 2003, while standing on the front porch of Bixby's parents' home. Authorities say Ouzts, who arrived to check on Wilson once radio contact with the officer was lost, was shot as he stepped out of his patrol car.

I'd like to make him watch his dad die before he got put out of his misery. I hope the cops families sue and make his mom homeless in her old age.

In my small town of Marshall, Michigan, a police officer who was also a Boy Scout Troop leader alledgely raped underage children, "14 that we know of" according to the Deputy Police Chief. He was never arrested. He is only one of several officers who were accused of raping underage children and never arrested. What is the limit for the police or is there one?

When I was down and out of money I forged and deposited a check for $750. After I realized what I did I paid back the people that the check was written to as well as sent them a letter with an apology. I found out today that they are issuing a warrant for my arrest. This is a first time offense and I was wondering what the charge might be. This is in SC.

Hello,
I was involved with a dispute with my partner recently.
Basically we have a long history and have been separated for 8 months. She came to my house with my 3 children one night. After the children were asleep we started to argue about money. She has got into a lot of financial trouble in the last 8 months and was blaming me. I took offense to this and explained that she has recieved her £500 maintenance every month, and cant balme me for her mess. She then went to bed in a huff. I pondered the situation and decided to try and resolve the issue. I asked her to come back down and sort this out as it was silly. She then became very insulting, and I went face to face with her telling her to take the insults back. She wouldn't and said she was phoning the police?!?!? I said what for - dont be silly etc. As we were both walking down the stairs I held her arm firmly and said dont do this its crazy. She ran out of the house. I closed the open door and she then rung the bell wanting to come back in. I told her no. An hour later the police arrive and question me. A WPC asks me to confirm if I grabbed her arm or not. I said I did - then she began to arrest me under section 39 (common assault).
I said this doesnt need to be happening and I'd assist them in the morning. Two more police entered the property I was angry at this and asked who invited them in etc. I was bustled into my hall at this time and was reluctantly hadcuffed. My daughters (5 and 3) witnessed this as they were crying on the stairs. When applying the handcuffs I was in pain - and my youngest daughter cried 'daddy', 'daddy'. The red mist decended and I headbutted one of the the policeman. I was then arrested again under section 89(1). I had 6 glasses of red wine and my partner 4 glasses on the night in question. Also we both have cautions against one another due to an incident 6 months ago. She hit me on that occation but during the melee she fell over - and I got cautioned for that?
I have no other record at all. Am a proffessional man in a position of authority. Own house etc.
Can you tell me if I can expect a custodial sentance?
I explained all above under interview. And the CPS wish to press charges.
Many thanks in advance.

If me and this one police officer don't exactly like each other (dated back to our high school days).. and i suspect he's been with my girl, and i send him a text message saying, "you better not be messing with me boy" and he replies, "you better be joking because if your not we might have a problem!" now, could i get in trouble for that? he stated he was on duty.

what exactly can i say or do to a police officer if i have problems with him?

I think my fiance is doing and/or selling meth. We have no money, yet he makes about $25 an hour. With the little bit that I bring home from my part time job, that should be well enough to pay our bills. He lies about where he is going all the time. He also lies about who calls him. Last night he said his brother called, yet when I checked later (yes, frown, I have not trust left) it was not his brother he was talking to, it was a guy who I know is on meth. Anyways, I know there is something fishy going on, but what can I do? He denies that he has anything to do with it, but I know thats not true. Can I call a cop, or someone, and not get myself in trouble. I've known for a long time that something strange is going on, so will I get in any trouble with the law, too? I want to give the authorities all the phone numbers he calls, and that call him, and see what they can do. Will this be a stupid move? Has anyone been here before? Please be serious.
