All states are different but as a rule 17 is that gray area. You ARE NOT considered an adult, but as a rule if you leave home and like move out well basically your on your own. You are NOT a minor BUT you are also NOT an adult by definition. If you get arrested for EXAMPLE at 17, you are charged as an adult. So as I said you are in a gray area. Depending on what the laws are in Texas they could find you and return you home or they may not as you are 17. It can go either way. But do yourself a favor, a BIG ONE stay at home and try to work it out. You are still young and there is so much you are not aware of that you will learn very very very quickly if you move out on your own. It would be better to learn the things I speak of at home where they will NOT have a direct impact on you. Good Luck.

Assuming which you're talking approximately leaving living house with out parental permission (pondering you're talking approximately shifting faculties with out permission)... there is not any regulation in Texas, or diverse state for that have fun, that components a 17-3 hundred and sixty 5 days-previous the potential to depart living house with out parental permission till ultimately they’ve been emancipated in some way alongside with marriage (demands parental consent) or court docket decree (this is under no circumstances granted). The Texas kinfolk Code defines a “infant or minor” as “a guy or lady shrink than 18 years of age who isn't and has no longer been married or who has no longer had the disabilities of minority bumped off for elementary purposes” and states that a discern of a minor has the dazzling to “have fairly possession” of the teenager and “designate the area of domicile of the teenager”. The Texas Penal Code defines a runaway as “slightly guy or woman who's youthful than 18 years of years” who “is absent from the teenager’s living house with out the consent of the teenager’s discern or mum or dad” AND, if slightly one leaves living house and crosses state strains, it then turns suitable right into a *federal* concern. If mom comments you as a runaway (and that i assume she will) you would be picked up and further lower back living house. And NO an unemancipated minor can no longer sign in themselves at school/bypass faculties. basically a discern or criminal mum or dad can try this.

No, you have waited this long, so give yourself a birthday present on your 18th and legally leave and this way you won't have to worry about any problems. Remember, at 17 you can be arrested as an adult, but your a minor until 18, so you have to remain with your parents, unless they tell you to leave, or don't care.??

No, you can't. You can be charged with running away, be placed in a juvenile detention center for weeks, months, etc, and then placed in group homes until your 18th birthday, etc...
I know it may seem bad at home, but I promise you, staying at home has to be better than living with complete strangers in a government system.
