I will be 17 in June. I dont plan on dropping out or quitting my job either. I just want straight answers and if you could maybe some links that i could go to to do some of my own research. Thank You.

If you go before a judge and get emancipated, and can fully support yourself.

Someone else just asked the same question, so I'll give same answer. Legally no, but at 17 the police won't usually do anything about it if you are working and staying out of trouble. Your parents are legally responsible for you. If nothing else, it'll be a learning experience to see how difficult adult life can be.

Depending on the laws in your state,. Yeah it's called being an emancipated minor. I have heard of a 16 yr old being emancipated. You would have to go trough a legal process, but I am sorry I don't have links. Good luck with your search.

Legally no. Your parents are responsible for you until you turn 18. Sorry, you'll have to wait one more year.
