I got a $200 ticket for going 85 in a 65. I was honestly going 80. The highway was elevated so that I'm going down a hill (almost like a hill) and by the time I saw the cop at the bottom, he already waved me in. Btw, the cops really have a nice business. Two cop cars. One radars you while the other one writes a ticket. And by the time he writes your ticket, there's another car being waved in. We're going down a hill c'mon people, he pulled in a JEEP that was going I think 70 mph down a HILL. I'm going to fight this off or should I? lol

I was arrested in December 2005 for driving with a suspended license. My sentence was 24 hours of community service. I have not completed the service hours and my case is about to expire. Since I have not completed the hours, what are the consequences? Will I get arrested? Jail time? Fine? I'm so scared!

In Texas, what is the maximum sentence for second offence shop lifting (Class B Misdemeanor)? Is there any way to insure that you could get less than the maximum, (like just probation and comunity service) and how would you go about that?

I live in a small town in the state of Nevada. To make a very long story short. The DA dismissed my husbands (2 Felony Charges) "without prejudice". After a little research on-line I now understand the "term" but I am not clear on how to address my issues with this out come. I believe that the DA was trying to avoid a witness from testifying. The truth is the person who confessed who has been found guilty and has been sentenced for the crimes contacted the DA and informed her that they were trying to convict an innocence person (my husband). He explained he was willing to testify that my husband had no knowledge and did not commit this crime. He also wanted to submit pictures of his tires (same kind as my husbands) that are on the vehicle he used to commit this crime. He went to her directly because our attempt to have our 4th Public Defender to subpoena him was denied. On the day of my husbands Prelim/Pre-trial this person approached the DA before court with photos and requesting to be heard in court. After one last attempt from our PD to get my husband to sign a misdemeanor plea, the DA "dismissed without prejudice" If I truly understand the meaning of the "term" than this has not provided us with closure. How does one proceed at this point?

I'm just 19 years old right now and I only have high school degree but I master several Martial Arts: Karate, Savate,... and I have lots of practical skill and experience in Street-Fighting....

To where should I apply? The Department of Justice? What qualifications needed to become an agent? Will I ever have a chance to become an agent? Is being an agent really, REALLY tough? I want to get involved in action (field agent), not just being staff or secretary (paperwork agent) here....

It's not about giving an ex-convict a second chance. Rather, I' just trying to find out whether the government had passed any law regarding this matter? Or does his/her past record slims down the chances of him/her becoming an officer?

my boyfriend got arrested for grand larceny. He later got R&R after the weekend in jail. Now he has a court date coming up. He needs to get monies up for a lawyer. Can he adjourne the court date? Is this hard to do? He was never arrested ever before this so we arent familiar with these things !!!
