I like the way you think. However, you know the lawdogs and you'll pay for it in the long run.

If the police do not have probable cause, they have no right to look in your trunk, glove compartment, under your seats or any other covered space. They only have the right to inspect things "in plain view" and you have the right to deny them access to these closed spaces. Of course, they will detain you until they can try to get a warrant, but if they haven't enough evidence, they won't get their warrant. Inconvenient, yes, but it is your right. If they have probable cause, well, first off, I'm thinking it's more than just "fitting" a profile. Sounds like you're living up to it, but, back to the point, you do not have an obligation to warn them if you are legitimately carrying a hive of bees or rat traps under the seat. If it can be shown that you intentionally placed them there with the intent of inflicting harm on a police officer, warning or not, you could be charged with assault on a police officer.

Oh, and people, fitting a profile isn't always about looking and/or acting like a thug. It can simply be because you are hispanic. Or black. Or Middle Eastern. Upstanding college-educated people with six figure incomes have been detained by biased cops simply because they are hispanic or black or look like a "terrorist."

Normal people do not transport bees in their trunk, nor put rat traps under their seats, or any other such weird stuff. Being a threat, on purpose, to anyone is illegal. If you must carry bees, then tell them what is in there and have a way where that can be verified without opening the trunk. What you might want to do is to change the way you appear to the police, and others. I'm not saying change your beliefs, I am saying don't attract attention. There are good ways to be "you" that allow you to live as you choose without attracting unwanted attention. Grow up, and be a responsible person. It is your fault that you attract bad attention. It is also true that there are rules of common conduct that are acceptable to the people. One person who might be seen as an anarchist is going to attract negative attention. What you do at home, that does not draw attention from society is your business. What you do in common public is the concern of the authority of the government to keep the peace. If you are trying to disturb that peace, then any trouble that comes your way is your fault. Live with society, not against it. There are peaceful ways to make your point of view known, and not get into trouble for it.

I enjoy your asinine questions but would advise you that getting a police officer stung by bees or his fingers snapped in a rat trap would only make you more of a target. The best way to avoid encounters with police is to maintain a low profile. Now they may be "harassing" you but I bet it's not all them, your attitude will only make things worse for you. I suggest being as nice as possible. Smile, be friendly and courteous and they will more than likely leave you alone. The reality is most cops have better things to do than bother "innocent" pople like you.

I think you should probably warn them if you are transporting bees and rat traps. Also, it is illegal to booby trap your car so it is probably in your best interest not to do these things as they could be construed as such if the cop really wanted to be a jerk. There is also a good possibility you would be liable if anyone got hurt.

Great idea though, just make sure you warn anyone.

That is the best idea I've heard in a long time. Forward that to Jay-Z so he can put it in rap lyric. People all over the states will be riding around with hives of angry bees and diseaded rats

If you tell the cop that he or she does not want to search your trunk then the first thing that they are going to want to do is search your trunk. They will aslo ask you why they would not want to search the trunk. if you do not tell them then you can expect a stay at the fine local corrections building of thier choice.

NO you can't keep mousetraps under your seat. you would have a devil of a time explaining to a judge why they are there. it is illegal to set traps with the intent to cause harm to other people, or in a way that could cause harm to other people. if you set a mouse trap in your house and it hurt someone visiting you would be liable for the injured party. since I don't really think you could come up with a convinceing arguement in court to why the traps where there in the first place I would have to say you would be going to jail for that one too.

Well, with the bees they can bust you for transporting dangerous live goods without a license.

As far as the rat traps go, as long as you say - I got rat traps under the seats because I get rats in the car overnight you are fine. If you leave it vague and dont tell them what is there, they can jail you.

If you got busted I would say T. S. Eliot!
Obviously You feel that because of your race, religion, appearance or some such, you are the victim of police persecution.
You might be. On the other hand I wonder why you have so many run-ins with the cops. Small town? Maybe they just don't like you.

They need a search warrent to seach your car if you dont give permission and you can say " you can only search the front and not the trunk or you can only search the trunk". Sure you can keep your record with you if you want.

So you think that because you are stopped and searched that
you have the right not to tell innocent men and women - i.e.
law enforcement officers that there are bees in the trunk.........

Warn them because if they sting them, then they will sting you
and you deserve to go to jail if any of them get stung, what is
wrong with you, when they set up a roadblock they do not
profile you, they stop cars in a given area, get something
for your paranoia...........................................................................
