that is a civil issue-not a law enforcement issue.

Same thing happened to me a few years ago. What I did was contact the local authorities in the town where I sent the money order and they tracked the guy down and I did get my money back. Good luck!

Yes, the money order is lost forever and you can't get your money back from the money order company. However, if you sue the people who scammed you there is some chance of recovering your money back from them. The money order company, however, is only responsible if the money goes to the wrong people. In your case, it went to the right people.

Maybe, and maybe not. Ask the company that issued the Money Order if it has been cashed. If not, then they will stop payment on it, and for their costs to do so, return most of your money. The procedure can be found at any bank, or store that seeks Money Orders.

That's why the ******* had you send a money order. If you sent that money order through Western Union then you are done. Just lick your wounds and learn.

Make sure you take that small receipt with you to show as proof you purchased it. Without it, they'll just blow you off. They need that transaction number.
