Such as childrens toys and clothes...some have receipts, others don't. How long can the police keep them?

When is it OK to kill someone? If you could comment on the law briefly, but mainly talk about when you believe it is ok to hurt or kill someone.

It seems that the experience of a police officer would vary greatly. For example, in Australia we don't have many guns around, and (no surprise) less shootings!!

What do you American police officers think about the prevalence of guns in your society? To me, it seems like a really bad idea.

I have noticed that through out the world, there is a new philosophy that rules.
It is a philospophy that we should do everything as wrong as we can and that punishing those who desirve it should mean being punished back!

It is like me slapping you, and you tell the police, and I slap you for telling the police. I justify that it is only fiar because you counter attacked me, so I should *counter* attack you back.

It is just like going to the lavatory and having a crap and you flush it, to find that the lavatory spits the crap back into your asse again.

What philosophy is this and how should I respond to it, noting that the more that I do to reach a state of balance, the more imbalanced it gets?

I personally was not picked on in highschool and do not think I am on a power trip. I enjoy the variety and the fact that you get to help people sometimes. I like working with the other officers and I don't think the pay is horrible. I did not get into it for the power and don't really care if people respect me. I just enjoy the job. I don't need people to thank me for the job, it's nice but I do it anyway. So why did you other officers get into the job. I see a lot of posts with people making assumption about wy people become cops and attacking their character. I though that maybe some officer could explain why they do what they do.

Given the recent "activities" involving high-up members of Her Maj's Government, amongst other things, do you think that the Police services within the UK should actually be under the management & control of the Judiciary, instead of the Government - if so why, if not, why not?

(I mentioned this to my MP about a year ago and he told me I had "dangerous & disturbing views", but then, he's a part-time politician, so I don't really give a flying fuc# what he thinks - if he was full-time, then I'd value his thoughts a little more.)

National Bureau Investigation, should be on the national bureau and not on civil cases...
They should be tackling the 'Graft and Corruptions' in cooperations with the Commision On Audit. So many Bureau unsolved cases and they could not focus into it like the cases on COMELEC, NAVY, ARMY, POLICE, MEDIA KILLINGS and PRESIDENTIAL MANIPULATIONS, AND OTHERS. WHEN WILL THEY DO THEIR JOB AND TELL THEIR STORIES IN THE PRESS? CONFERENCE?

I've heard that if the police pull you over and find marijuana they can seize it. Obviously if you have bricks of weed in your car they will seize it, but if its a small amount...like less than an ounce can they still take it?
