Under the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 up to six months and maximum fine of £5,000.

However, if the case is judged to be more serious further charges can be brought, and if convicted, a heavier jail term/fine imposed.

I think harassment is a summary offence - so that would be 6 months imprisonment or a fine.

But Protection from Harassment and fear of voilence is an indictable offence and carries a 5 year sentence.

Yes, 6 months depending on what form of harrasment it takes, if it is causing stress and alarm, as stated in the Public Order Act (s 4)

However, if there are other facets to the claim of harrasment longer custodial sentances may apply.
