Ok, well child services must have been called for something. They just don't show up at your door. Sounds like during thier search they found some items that probably should not have been out. Cildren Services just don't knock at random doors to do searches someone must have called in a complaint to have them show up. Even if you were arrested that still does not warrant them to come to your house. What you need to do is call a family lawyer TODAY. If you do not defend yourself you can lose your kids to the system. If they came and found the stuff and didn't take the kids, well you can expect them to come back in the near future. If you are wondering why they came call Child Services they can not tell you who filed a complaint but they can give you details. Get a lawyer and do it quick.

As far as the heat sink applicator, if you end up going to court, you may want to see if you can find a picture online of a similar one, print it out, and take it with you. Also, any person who's job is maintaining computers, or if they work at a computer store, will be able to tell the police that it's not a syringe.
If nothing else, the court house's IT guy would be able to identify it.

First, get a good attorney. It doesn't matter how much they cost, because it sounds like you might lose your kids, if you lose this case.
Second, if the syringe is an innocent tool as you say, then you might want to be able to properly describe what it's used for. It's not a "hink sink". It's a "heat sink".

First, who called CS?, what was their motive? if you have a felony record, you are not allowed to have a weapon, nothing but a butter knife. Best hire a lawyer, get charges dropped and get out of town, someone does not like you.

well when it goes to court, they will see it wasn't a syringe if it is used for a computer.if you have nothing to hide, don't worry about it.they need good hard evidence to charge you with anything, make sure you seek a lawyer to be able to fight it.
