Yes if they do not respect the privacy of the neighbourhood. If they are too loud then they can be accused of causing disturbance to the public. The fact that it is a Church choir doe not give them the right to cause a breach of the peace through noisy worship.

If anyone can complain about a church choir singing then this country has really gone mad. Then people have nothing else to do and their lives are so easy that they have nothing major to worry about. You know, a little bit of tolerance goes a long way - something that is missing from people these days. Church choirs are nice (in fact people singing in harmony is very nice) so I don't know why anybody would want to spoil that by reporting them to the authorities.

I used to live acrosss the road from a catholic church which had midnight mass for practically everything! the singing was nice to hear whilst lying in bed, that didnt bother me. What did bother me was the noise after church and the parked cars outside my house when there was a perfectly sized car park opposite.

Absolutely yes. Just like church bells, noisy weddings and funerals.

Make exceptions for choirs and before you know it the cemetery residents will be at it as well.

They are subject to noise ordinances too. (But those are usually in affect after 10 p.m. and I doubt that a church is making noise that late).
