why do some poeple go to court to argue their traffic ticket when most of the time it is the police officers word against yours, and the judge finds for the officer 99% of the time?

if the office writes on the ticket the wrong Vehicle Code for what you actually did, are you still held responsible or are you off the hook?

i quit my job today after my boss accused me of stealing on tape, i went to the office and viewed/tried to explain the tape. it does look like i am taking something but i AM NOT ...i didnt steal from him. the time period was so long ago i cant even recall what was in my hand. he has threatened me over the phone and now to press charges..but i didnt steal anything?! can he do that?! should i seek an attorney?! hes been accusing me for several days now. what should i do?! hes slightly crazy heh, and i;m kind of fearing for my life atm. should i wait it out? should i not answer his calls? i didnt steal from him it just looks like i am doing so? its hard to explain.

The Dea raided our house and found almost 400 plants and all the equipment needed for the hydroponic setup. Suprisingly enough, after handcuffing the four of us, in the end they only took my guy and his partner and let us girls go. My boyfriend did have priors for possession of small amont of marijuana in the past. How much time do you think he will get? What are the louisianna laws for this?

My friend and I were stopped in front of a bar on "suspicion of public intoxication" --it was clearly a sting. Nevermind the illegality of their sting, when they detained us they confiscated my .38 special and a .22 short barrel pistol I was carrying. They never did file charges for public intoxication (no evidence), but they haven't returned my guns. What is the process for getting them back?

My brother (26) is on medication and talked with stranger a 10year old female by grabbing on her hand, someone who saw this called police and police after found out he was on medication, but still they(police) filed case. now he has been charged for disorderly conduct. My brother can’t work or live by himself. He said he didn’t even recognize she was a 10 year old. We don’t have money or gas to travel 700 miles for his court appearance. What we have to do?

Ive just finished watching it all over again.If reagan and carter were around today they would kick the s**t out of the criminals around to day and people would respect the old bill a bit more.Hard drinking, chain smoking bird pullers.My hero's.Im amazed watching it again that cops were like that.I would feel safer with them around then reg hollis and polly from the bill.What a nanny state we live in today.

about 3 years ago i had a very good friend who became terminally ill and homeless but I also allowed him to use my address to get his mail because he was on the streets with nowhere to go (his only living relative moved to North Carolina and he was too ill to transport which is why the man became homeless to start with)

The man passed away 2 years ago in the middle of march

I keep getting notices from the ohio BMV the man's driver's license is suspsended now so to get his final affairs in order I called 2 places today that is the vital statistics dept in my area to attempt to get his death certificate and they won't release it without his family's consent and the relative can not be located

I also called the ohio bureau of motor vehicles trying to get this taken care of they say without a death certificate they will not stop this pure idiot behavior

What can I do about this now?? It's getting on my last nerve and I live in central ohio for the record............

ok, back in 1999,I was 19 at the time and I'm 26 now I stole a pack of cigs,had a court date but missed it do to a death in the family all this time has passed, and I was checking my record and and see there is a bench warrant for me...I called the court and they said I need to come in the mornings and have myself added to the court list. this is the only thing I've ever done. when I go in will they put me in jail? or just have to pay a fine? any help will be greatly appreciated.
