i have worked for the courts for 7 years now and have never heard of anyone getting a 50 million dollar bond.. but if ur uncle is excessively rich like mel gibson paris hilton and the like then maybe if he did something totally outrageous he might get bail set that high but i highly doubt it.. bond is set to encourage the defendent to sit there and if he does post bond then he must be gauranteed to stay in the jurisdiction but 50 million dollars is an outrageous amount maybe u should look at the paper work again and try counting the zeros again because no one has ever been set bond that high..

My first thought is he was the "Real Killer' O.J. Simpson was looking for.
If that doesn't seem right my guess it is a white collar crime like embezzlement. Likely the case if he is an executive or stock broker.
With a 50 million dollar bond probably should buy him so lube cause looks like he will be in the Gray Bar Hotel for a long time.

Are you sure it was that much? There's a girl currently booked in the county jail where I live on 1rst degree pre meditated murder and her bail is $250,000.

sounds like a traffic registration ticket I had to pay off one the judge dose not think this is excessive though he believes there is still plenty of more money at the mint to be printed to pay him.
